Planet Mitigant

Post by TheVaultTech »

Mitigant is a tiny Hiveworld with a population of 53 million. It is a low Imperial planet, with the standard technology readily available but the rarer and more advanced stuff being extraordinarily rare if present at all. The Adeptus is present and involved, but is quite small. Strangely, despite its meager 11,000km diameter, its gravity is twice that of Holy Terra's and the standard spacecraft's- the reason for this is yet unknown, but is quite safe, you're assured. Though Mitigant's defence force is stunted literally, they've spared no expense in defending their planet- they have titans and missile silos up the wazoo. They're an Oligarchic society, hence why your mission there is quite important- can't have the only people of worth there vanishing, can we?
Oh, and bring a jacket. It reaches 9 celsius at the peak of the summer. We can't just wait around for you to go there when it's nice and cozy, so you'll be there when it's in the -60's. Don't try to breathe too much, either. Not only can the cold freeze your lungs, the atmosphere has been dirtied and a certain chemical that's usually harmless has become common; I say usually- it causes rapid mould growth when combines with water. Unfortunately, it's surprisingly humid there as well. So not only will mould grow in your lungs if your reckless, ice will form on you and melt- causing mould there, too. You'll be checked up and healed of any discomfort when you return, and I'm sure the locals have some ointment or something.
You'll be dropped off on the island city of Nostranda, from there you can question whoever you want and get free rides to the frozen "grasslands" and their cities.
