What the Acolyte knows of the Inquisition

Post by TheVaultTech »

You are an Acolyte. You automatically have more power than most planetary governors- if you play your cards right.
The Inquisition's job, other than routing heresy, is making sure your hand of cards is full of children's go-fish cards.
The Inquisition, Orods Hereticus in particular, destroys heresy in all its forms. Though this usually means sending in a single acolyte to deal with an arrogant governor or politician, it occasionally involves platoons of Imperial Guards and some big bombs.
Though the average Acolyte actually knows much of the Inquisition, well... as Sergeant Havlocke said, "Understanding is overrated." And, whether you agree with that or not, you partake in it. You could give a damn fine lecture about Horus, and heresy in general, but when it comes to the specifics of the Inquisition, you're as knowledgeable as anyone else.
The Inquisition also deals with Psykers. Psykers are mentally charged time bombs that are directly connected to the warp. Many are taken away on Inquisition's Black Ships so that they may feed the Emperor, but those aren't the ones to worry about. Psykers are dangerous- but especially the ones that have gone rogue. Due to their strong connection to the Warp, they're almost always corrupted by chaos and used as daemonhosts.

You personally know the Inquisitor Aurelius Marcondas, who has recently acquired you. Though the Inquisitors are somewhat renowned for their harshness, Inquisitor Aurelius Marcondas seems perfectly amiable and has even promised you a wealth of resources to solve and deal with your cases- should any come your way.
