That's something we need to check in the rules, as it may change our plans. If it's not there (though it should be), BoardGameGeek should have the answer. I hope it doesn't mean that we've been devoured, or all of our stuff could be lost, including the Shining Trapezohedron. Then someone would have to go find another one before we can finish off the Haunter.

I don't mind being Lead Investigator if nobody else wants it. My plan is to go to London and try to take care of the Gate, then head for space 13 the following turn. Rex should encouner Harvey before moving to Arkham, if he can still encounter him.

Defeated and we choose Health or Sanity. Mark's plan stays as stated (Mandy has a Health token placed upon her marker).

That's a relief. We should choose whichever option for Harvey is better for Rex. He has much better Influence than Lore, so I'd go with insanity.

Once Harvey is defeated his body and possessions would have relocated to the nearest city. We should move it to Space 7 because if it goes to Arkham then we would never be able to defeat the Haunter.

Rex will move to 7 to Encounter Harvey.

You're right. A FAQ deals with our situation--Haunter sitting atop the Shining Trapezohedron. It says that for this Epic Monster one can have an encounter. But Rex may want to Rest . . . you decide, Quatermass, Arkham or space 7.

Space 7 I think. If there is a reckoning I can move to 8 again or I can use my ship ticket to get to Arkham in one move.

I didn't know there was a rule saying you can't encounter a defeated investigator if there's a monster on the same space. In any case, I think it's better to Travel to Arkham and encounter Harvey this turn, then face the Haunter. With the 2 Health and 5 Sanity you had before Resting, it will be enough. The most Sanity you can lose is 3, and the most Health you'll lose is 1 even if you botch, with either the Fishing Net or the Bodyguard. The Haunter's defeat has been delayed far too long already, and Nephren-Ka will wake up soon. If we don't solve the Mysteries fast, we're all doomed. Waiting another turn could be too costly.

I'm unsure now. What I thought was that one fights monsters first, and then has an encounter (excepting the Haunter, where one can go ahead and have an encounter). But, anyway, one cannot encounter a defeated investigator and afterwards fight a monster? . . .

Either way, it seems we are doomed.

No, you were right, I was confused. I'd thought it was an Action to meet a defeated Investigator, but it's an Encounter.

Thanks! Ruby Standish is a reference one of the Arkham Horror Allies, a cat burglar. She even has the same picture.

Turn 7 plan.

Mark to Travel to The Pyramids, use ability on Vampire; combat Vampire and close Gate--easy!

Jacqueline to "psychic" 1 Clue to Mark and Travel to The Amazon; combat Byakhee and close Gate.

Lead Investigator?
