Anyone feeling generous and willing to give me an overview of the first outing, especially as it pertains to Scott the nurse?

Scott jumped in close to the end, when Warren went down in the Coma as a fill in character. I'll let the returning players fill you in though.

Yup. Planning on reading through the entire thing, just didn't want to halt the start up because I don't have a point of reference for my character.

Like...in Haunting Scott was nearly torn to shreds by slathering Deep Ones and he shows up at Dr. Chambers office like

"What's the good word Doc? Doo bee doo..."

Scott jumps in around chapter 8. But they told you everything that happened up to that point, so feel free to read the whole thing so you know what happened.

Or you could assume Scott day dreamed through their telling and just read chapter 8 on which is what he experienced.

From what I remembered, Scott essentially liked haunted houses and spooky stories. He's also a WWI vet as a medic, and noticed that we've visited the hospital couple of times with unexplainable injuries. When Scott was introduced, he was eavesdropping on us, when my character Jordie brought Warren to the hospital, and the rest of the group came to the hospital to discuss our plans.

My impression of him, was that he was just a guy looking for trouble, something that'll make his heart pump faster.

BenTheRat, I'll get around to writing my character this evening, and hopefully I'll be finished by tomorrow with my character.

As mentioned elsewhere, I'll be ready by the end of the weekend.

NP, I wasn't going to get things moving till then.

And if you don't have time, there is still 1 character carried over from the previous run if you want it.

Thanks! I should have some large blocks of time to work with but will keep that in mind just in case something random arises. However, a new character fits me fine as I don't think I have the time to re-read the previous game. Anyways, things are looking good and I look forward to participating with the interesting investigators my fellow players have put forward. I should have my character submitted for approval by Saturday night at the latest!

Yeah, DS has it right, Scott was just a nurse at the hospital with a fascination for ghost tales. He heard the others talking after Warren almost cashed out, courtesy of a possessed dagger, and thought that investigating a haunted house might be fun.
He did, and it wasn't.
He joined in just in time to see the majority of the investigators go down to a thing that should have been dead and buried a long time. In the end just him and a couple of others, I forget which ones, walked away. So I would imagine he would be a little cautious about having another go, but as to his motivations etc, that is totally up to you.
The reactions of Warren when faced with Scott will be interesting, on one hand he will feel indebted to him as he was part of the team that saved his life. on the other, his prescence will be a constant reminder of those events.

Good info. That will alter his inner monologue slightly.

No worries Ben, I'm sure I'll make Scott my own in short order. I just like keeping continuity.

BenTheRat, I am having grief with Invisible Castle at the moment due to a forgotten password. I have tried re-registering but the site is not responding. Anyways, while I hopefully get this sorted, I was going to offer Genevieve Carrington, a psychology undergrad who plans to become a parapsychologist upon convocation, as my choice from a previous and now defunct scenario I was in. Her attributes were rolled on Invisible Castle and can be verified there. I will PM the character to you for approval. Have a good one!

Hi all

I'm going into hospital tomorrow for major surgery to my back.

I'm told that they have wi-fi in the hospital but I probably won't be able to post again until Sunday - but that will be dependant on the type of post-operative pain-care I'm on. I'm sure any posting I make whilst doped up on morphine will be interesting if not actually relevant to the storyline.

Ladies and gents, I'll be away this weekend, returning Monday Sept. 15th. I'll be around the early part of next week and then I leave again Thursday the 18th and return Tuesday the 22nd.

Just giving you all a heads up!

I will be going Camping this weekend and will be out of town from about 2 PM tomorrow CST until Sunday about the same time and have NO internet at all.

So I will post up till 2, after that, the game will just have to go on pause till I return. You guys can of course roleplay, discuss plans, etc... until I return.

Going camping again, and doing some light mountain climbing. Be back on Sunday. Continue to role play, and I will post upon my return.

Sorry I haven't been very active these last few days, I've been home, but sick. Was just not into it.

Now I'm going on a very short vacation, just 4 days. When I return, I promise to get things moving again.

In case my recent absence hasn't been indication enough, life has deigned to deal me a set of circumstances that has greatly reduced my free time and has made keeping up with online play all but impossible.

Hopefully things will clear up soon and I can rejoin you at some point but for now I have to bow out.

Just concerned here. Things have really come to a standstill on both threads. Several players have not posted in several days.

Is it:
1. You are bored, this game isn't going anywhere?
2. I'm confused and don't understand any objectives and I'm afraid to post because I'll look stupid?
3. I'm so busy I can't post right now, but I'll be back on it soon.
4. What, did I forget to tell you I quit.

I'm assuming its answer 3, but just checking. On both threads, you have talked about what you are thinking of doing, but haven't said you are doing them. So I'm waiting on you guys on both threads.

I'm still engaged with story and enjoying the game.

I know that sometimes I can be a few days between posts - this is normally due to the fact that I am busy or that I haven't received a forum notification of a new post but I normally check the the threads if I haven't received a notification every few days.

In the current thread that I'm involved in I'm kind of waiting on Eddie/Mr. Handy to be the man and break into the shed.

I'm a bit unsure of what our group's current action should be, but I made a suggestion to try to get things moving once again.

I still want to play and like the story. Sometimes I'm a bit busy, but I try to post as often as possible. I don't really know what to do right now though and where waiting for a respons. But since there is one now I will make a post later today after I have got some sleep.

I understand completely. Sometimes some of the NPC's come off weird or strange, or even hostile. There are reasons for everything that has happened up to now.

The more you dig into it, the more you will start to figure out and then you will understand why things are happening the way they are. I put a lot of time and effort into this, its not just a simple haunted house this time. Its much more sinister.

I'm still enjoying the game too, and I have been posting. In my last post I said I was trying to remove the chains, and I was waiting for you to let me know if I succeeded.

I haven't posted in the last two weeks cause I got into a car accident. Got a bad stiff neck and really put me out for a good while. Had a hard time having the appetite to eat, and even just listening to music was something that left me uncomfortable. Luckily nobody was majorly injured, but I still kinda feel stiff as a board.

I am quite invested into our investigations, however, it does take awhile to go back on the evidences we've collected and remembering all the clues we need to follow on. Otherwise, sometimes I do feel passive, and just let the other's do all the legwork and I'm just sort of there doin' nothing, so I know it's kinda my fault for the slow-paced game.

Like what other's have said, sometimes I don't post daily simply because I'd be busy.

Just got back and the weekend weather was perfect. Mid 60's, only about 15 mins of rain while we were out there.

Things have kind of slowed down right now anyway during the investigative phase. Maybe the whole group needs to get back together and work out what they have found out so far. Its a lot more than anyone has said so far.

I'd say lets go ahead and start posting again. All new players will be just taking over characters already in the game. I will be playing on the assumption they are "with" the group, or tailing them by 50 feet or so. This will allow for easier transitions in.

In Texas. It still got down to 31, that wasn't so bad. It was actually the 2nd night when I had the cold, and fever that the 38 felt really bad. Over it now, pretty much.

Hey there, good news, Dr.V who played Richard is back on the grid again and wants to come back.

So he is catching up on where we are at and should be taking over Richard very soon.

I worry about that one, it is his first project and I can see mistakes he is making. At 300 pages, which seems extremely high to me, I'm worried he will be seriously delayed.
But he has raised a lot of money with a week still to go.

I plan to back it too, but I have to wait before I can. My credit card was cancelled last week after someone attempted a fraudulent transaction, and I still haven't received my new one yet.
