Dem Bones,San[68]: [dice]0[/dice] Can I try to dispell/turn these apparitions?

"We're over here, Aunt Loosa!" calls Eddie. He knows that the shadowy figures will hear him too, but at least if they come after him it'll draw them away from her.

"Over here!" shouted Alyssa, taking her cue from Eddie.

Your shouts seem to die in the fog. The wall of fog is so dense now that you can no longer see any shadows.

Aunt Loosa you keep your calm about you as the skulls fly past, but you close your eyes for a few seconds and reopen them, and the shadows have stopped. The fog has gotten thicker. You hear some shouting but you aren't sure which way its coming from, and it is very faint. It could be another trick of the shadows.

Eddie continues calling and waving his flashlight, hoping to get Aunt Loosa's attention.

"Search for her in pairs?" said Alyssa.

"If we do that, we'll never find each other again, let alone her," says Eddie. "We need to all search in a line. Everybody link hands, and don't let go. I'll stand at one end so I can have a hand free for my gun, just in case."

Alyssa nodded, "Yeah, okay," and takes Eddie's left hand, clasping Norman's right--and so on until they have formed a line.

Aunt Loosa calls out into the thickening fog Eddie! Alyssa! I'm over here by the mausoleum! she takes her torch from her bag and shines the light directly up towards the sky.

Everyone spreads out to form a line, and starts back towards where Aunt Loosa was. (or so you hope). It is difficult waking with tomb stones in the way, and occasionally small mausoleums, where you have to let go, then rejoin on the other side.

You see shadowy shapes moving in front of you, flying up next to you, only to disappear when you look directly at them. The fog is pulling at your legs, You hear shouting off to your right.

Aunt Loosa only,you stand there, your flashlight shining up in the air, but it doesn't seem to penetrate the fog. You hear voices, could they be calling your name. At first it was from your left, but then your right?

"I hear someone calling, over to the right!" shouts Eddie. "That must be her! Turn the line!" As the rightmost anchor, he is able to turn while staying in the same spot as the others rotate the line. The warmth of Alyssa's hand in his is reassuring.

"Can it be her?" said Alyssa. "Auntie! Auntie!"

Norman's about to protest that this isn't a very good idea, but his words die in his throat when Alyssa takes his hand.

He joins in the shouting with the others, hoping to guide the old woman back to them.

The shadows move right in front of you, everyone can see them. As they float up in front you, they lift their heads instead of a face, they have nothing but skulls with flames for eyes. They rear up in front of you, and they make a scream that drives down into your soul.

OOC: Everyone except Aunt Loosa make a Sanity 1/1d6 check.

Eddie is startled by the shadows, but Alyssa's nearness reassures him and keeps him from giving in to despair.

The horrid sight leads Norman to turn as white as a sheet.

Alyssa Sanity check [dice]0[/dice] succeeds but still łoses 1.

She felt their shock--both Eddie's and Norman's grip tighten; she can't help but feel frightened herself. "Ghosts aren't real," she hoped.

OOC: I think that is everyone except Richard and Scott. I'll roll for them and we can move forward.

While everyone else in the party remained calm at the ghastly sight, both Richard and Scott scream at the sight of the skulls with flaming eyes.

OOC:   And I thought this was going to be disapointing. I don't have my temp insanity chart with me, I'll roll when I get home and post what happens.

Richard starts screaming at the top of his lungs swinging his arms as he dances around like he is trying to keep bees off. While Scott just turns and runs off into the fog.
