"Good idea, to the wharf."

You pull into the parking lot of the wharf and make your way into the abandoned building. You notice the explosive cabinet is open and empty as you enter and make your way to the office which is open. You easily get down into the tunnel and lower the side of beef into the tunnels.

You make your way to the chapel. Nothing has changed since your last visit into the chapel just an hour ago.

Eddie helps to carry the meat and set up the mechanism over the pit. lending his strength to the task.

Richard helps with the setting up of the lift and the rest of the heavy lifting while keeping an eye out for anything that looks out of the ordinary or different from the last time they were there.

Nothing has changed. It appears just like it was when you left it. You hear no noises coming from the pit.

[Mr. Handy]

"I hope that thing's not out hunting," says Eddie. "If it is, it will eventually come back, so we'll have to get it then. Maybe it's down there and sleeping or something. Let's lower the beef into the pit and see if we can get its attention."

Richard helps to securley tie the beef off on the crain

You tie the side of beef to the chain hanging from the well crank. You begin to lower the beef down into the well. It quickly disappears into the darkness.

OOC:   what is everyone doing?

Eddie moves back until he is standing ten yards from the pit and levels his shotgun at it, so that he is in position in case the creature should emerge.

Alyssa stood next Eddie. She checked that her shotgun was loaded.

Norman approaches the pit, operating the crank. He prepares to bring the beef back up as soon as he hears the monster.

Richard also backs away from the pit (approximatly 10 yards but slightly off to one side from Eddie ensuring that they do not hit each other with any cross fire) and pulls out both of his pistols to ensure that they both have bullets chambered.

Norman cranks the beef down for what seems like an extreme amount of time. The other 3 checking their round and ensuring their pistols and shotguns are loaded.

Finally the chain goes slack indicating you have hit the bottom of the pit. After it reaches the bottom, 1 minute goes by, 2 minutes go by, still nothing. 3 minutes have passed.

"Maybe it did leave while we were away," says Eddie. "It's bound to come back here sooner or later, but who knows how long that will be? We could try exploring down there and seeing what's in its lair."

[Silver Priest]

"I'd rather not," says Norman. "The beast knows its lair better than us, and we lose the advantage of an ah, ambush.

"Perhaps we should give it an hour or so before planning any alternations to the plan?"

Alyssa sat down cross legged. She looked up to Eddie who was stood beside her, "I'm tired."
