'The Lounge Bohemia' - OOC thread

Loindon 1924....A grisly killing in the East of the majestic, sprawling bulk that is London sends out investigators in the pursuit of a mysterious manuscript, a troubling revelation about the origins of the world and piecing together the derranged rantings of a 19th century English poet. Truly there were some things that man was not meant to know...

'The Lounge Bohemia' - OOC thread

Post by Airbornexo »

Welcome to the Lounge Bohemia

Image
Your usual table sir? Here is the OOC for the new Trail of Cthulhu game....The Primer! Enjoy. I shall be slowly setting up threads and bits and bobs over the next couple of weeks in between my exam marking work. Forgive the initial glacial pace of me adding stuff, once the game gets into gear it should be full speed ahead. Why the Lounge Bohemia? I don't know I just googled London clubs and picked it because I liked the name....there will be quite a lot of historical hand-waving during this adventure no doubt.

Cheers, Hal

Grimes enters the pub at 1E Great Eastern Street and surveys the patrons. The job at hand can wait. The Bitter can't.
We'll have time to save the world before tea, no doubt. Just one pint and then we're set.

He walks up to the barkeep and nods. "Cheers! A pint Fuller's Bitter." ... He puts his plain clothes hat on the counter and adds: "Please."

Yes, we got a proper, well stocked bar! This will be a good one!
Good luck all around and see you on the other side, chaps!

I'm actually going to relocate the Lounge to Covent Garden to make it more convenient for the yard :)

Hopefully the first threads should be up and running by the weekend - I know people are away so we'll start slowly.

Handy when you return could you point me in the direction of your sources of stability as I can't seem to find them :)

Millicent and Felix both have a newspaper seller/boy as a source of stability so would it be okay to fuse them together - this also gives them another link to suggest a burgeoning friendship of sorts. I was thinking Robert Arnold 19 year old paper vendor from Stepney... Does that sound okay?

Yes, that's fine, Robert Arnold it is.

Just read up on Samuel Reed in the "cast" topic, it's good to have the (slightly dodgy) antiques dealer aboard.

This seems to be ticking over nicely now, any issues? Posting speed okay?

As I said, when Handy returns, I move things along - inside the apartment and then you can take your investigations wherever they please you.

Sam has a reasonably passive role at present, but there is a hook to draw him into the story in a while :) Thanks for your patience.

I asked when we were creating characters if we got Sources of Stability, as the rules seem to state that they're only for Pulp games, but if we do get them here are mine:
  • Jacqueline Wells - best friend and fellow student
  • Kate Somerville - mother, musician
  • Alfred Somerville - father, museum curator
  • Professor Rupert Garrison - instructor at college and Amanda's mentor

Thanks Handy using them as story ties rather than mechanical 'stability fixes' :)

Just binged on S1 of Twin Peaks which I'd not watched since I was 17 - still holds up as good quality TV :)

Starting S2 now and happily I can't remember what happens and I've discovered I've never watched the movie Fire Walk With Me....onwards!!! :)
