IC-Ep 3-I Fought the Law(Raymond/Salem/Elliot)

Elliot barely managed to stay on his feet, but his attempt to stab the policeman met with utter failure.

"Sarge!" cried the fast policeman. He sprinted in a crouch to the shack, drawing his baton as he ran. He flattened himself against the wall next to the door so that he could not be shot from the window.

OOC,[b]Elliot[/b], your attack was just a normal failure, not a critical failure (that only happens on a roll of 96 or more). [b]Salem[/b], it's your turn to act. If you chase after the fast one, you can't attack him this round, as it will take your full movement to reach him. However, both the wounded sergeant and the klutzy slowpoke are close enough.

Running up to the wounded sergeant, Salem pulls out the knife from his sheath and swings it. The knife gave in through the flesh, and Salem felt almost guilty for wounding a man in a police uniform.

The sergeant was too slow to avoid the blade, and it gouged a cut in his side. He fled towards the shack and joined the constable that was already there, also taking out his club and positioning himself on the other side of the door, out of range of the window.

The only target Raymond could now see was the constable on the ground, but he held his fire for fear of hitting Elliot by mistake. That constable dragged himself to his feet, squaring off against Elliot.

Elliot curses to himself for having given up his advantage he had. "Well, third times the charm." And with that he stabs in at the beast one more time.

"DAMN IT!!" Elliot curses, swearing he will practice his knife fighting before the next mission.

The uninjured policeman at the door of the shack kicked it open and rushed inside, charging at Raymond. Raymond got one shot off, but it missed by a mile. Then he began to swing wildly at Raymond with his baton.

Raymond MacIntyre,At the same time, [b]Horsham[/b] burst into the room from the open door at the back, brandishing a double-barrelled shotgun.

OOC,[b]Salem[/b], it is your turn to act. You can attack the slow constable this round if you wish. If you want to go after the other two, you can reach the front of the shack this round, but you will not also be able to attack.

Salem continues to slash at his opponent however every swing seems to miss their mark.

The sergeant rushed into the shack and came at Raymond from the side, swinging and missing. Raymond fired again, and the bullet zipped past him.

The slow constable finally got his club off of his belt and slugged Elliot in the head, ringing his bell. Elliot wavered, but he remained standing.

Raymond MacIntyre,[b]Horsham[/b] leveled his shotgun at [b]Raymond[/b], though with the policemen so close to his target he did not fire yet. "Drop it," he snarled. While [b]Raymond[/b] knew that he was going down, he was determined to take at least one of these guys down with him to even the odds for his friends. He kept firing, but [url=http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4452532/]another bullet missed narrowly[/url].

OOC,The slow constable attacked [b]Elliot[/b]; I accidentally put Salem's name in Invisible Castle. [b]Salem[/b], the sergeant fled from you as his action last round, so you could not have attacked him this round, Since you attacked, I'm guessing that was against the slow guy. [b]Elliot[/b], it is your turn to act now. First, please roll CON x 5 to see if you stay conscious after taking at least half of your remaining HP in damage. If you succeed at that roll, then you may act freely.

Elliot staggered for a second,

Then he shakes his head clear, and jabs with his knife again wishing he hadn't given his gun to Val.

with is vision blurry, he misses badly again.

Raymond MacIntyre,The constable swung at [b]Raymond[/b] again, [url=http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4453401/]whiffing and accidentally catching the sergeant on the backswing[/url]. Luckily for him, [url=http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4453407/]it was just a glancing blow[/url] and [url=http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4453408/]he remained upright[/url]. [b]Horsham[/b] came out from behind the counter and across the length of the store, moving closer and trying to get a shot lined up.

Salem stabbed the clumsy constable from behind, but the blade only nicked him.

Raymond MacIntyre,The sergeant tried to slug [b]Raymond[/b] again, but he missed. [b]Raymond[/b] quickly redirected his aim at [b]Horsham[/b] who seemed the bigger threat with his shotgun. He fired again, [url=http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4459758/]almost drilling him between the eyes[/url], but [url=http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4459769/]the fishman dropped to the floor just in time[/url].

The constable whirled on Salem and swung at him, narrowly missing.

Raymond MacIntyre,[b]Horsham[/b] pointed his shotgun up at [b]Raymond[/b] and fired one barrel, [url=http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4459784/]missing by an inch[/url]. Then he [url=http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4459787/]let him have the second barrel[/url]. [b]Raymond[/b] fell, [url=http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4459788/]his body hopelessly shredded[/url]!

More pistol shots came from within the shack, followed by twin shotgun blasts!

At this point he is not surprised by his total ineptitude with a knife.

The speedy constable emerged from the shack again, gripping his club and rushing towards the melee.

"Oh God! Raymond!" In shock and in complete disbelief, Salem heard the loud bang from the shack only to see one of the constables and Horsham leaving the shack. Outnumbered two to one, Salem shouts at Elliot, "We gotta run!"

"Agree," and Elliot turns and starts in the direction Val drove the car.

[Mr. Handy]

The sergeant staggered out of the shack next, gripping a pistol in his right hand and his baton in his left. "Drop your knives and surrender!" he demanded.

Salem fled north up the beach. The clumsy constable he had just stabbed swung at Elliot, the only target still within reach, and continued to batter him, knocking him down and beating him senseless. Luckily, he was not trying to kill him, just render him unconscious. At this he succeeded.

The sergeant fired at Salem's fleeing back, firing accurately.

OOC,I had to edit my post above. [b]Horsham[/b] does not emerge from the shack in that round because he used up his action firing the shotgun, so you don't even know he's free yet. Still, running away is an excellent idea! [b]Elliot[/b] had already attacked in the round that just ended, so he could not start fleeing until his turn in the next round. Unfortunately, he does not get the chance... :( The good news is that you're not dead, as the knockout attempt succeded, resulting in the damage being divided by 3. This puts you at 1 HP, which makes you unconscious, but not dead. [b]Salem[/b], please roll Dodge.

The bullet caught Salem in the back, wounding him badly and causing him to stagger.

OOC,[b]Salem[/b], the damage is at least half of your current HP, so now you need to roll CON x 5 in order to stay conscious.

Elliot is caught across the back of his head as he turns to run. Falling to the ground while saying "uggghhh." All he can think before passing out is "why oh why did I give my gun to Val". Then nothing...
