The blue box faded into nothingness with a wheezing, groaning sound. Then it was gone, as if it had never been there, leaving Chad, Leonek, and Tobias alone in the cave.

Chad felt uneasy watching the TARDIS disappear. With all that he had seen it was getting tougher not easier to adjust to all the oddities.
Tobias watches with absorbed interest as the tardis slowly vanishes from sight. "Amazing, truly amazing. The technology involved - if only- well, hopefully we'll bump into them topsides." And he makes a promise to himself. He turns to the others, "Okay let's get the hell outta here."

Leonek watched on ruefully as the TARDIS vanished, wondering if that thing could possibly make any more noise.
He looks at the others and nods, confirming their aloneness in the hostile caves.
"So, do we run or sneak? I think speed to be the better part of valour now, no?"

Leonek starts down the passageway, quickly -not recklessly-, shielding his torch with one hand so that it doesn't give them away too quickly.

Leonek led Chad and Tobias through the central cavern and up the passage to the right, which rose gradually. At the end of this tunnel was a narrow stone stairway leading further upwards. It was only wide enough for two of them to walk side by side, so someone would have to bring up the rear.
OOC,Anyone going up the stairs, please roll Sneak. Also, please decide on a marching order. I take it that [b]Leonek[/b] is in the lead.

Leonek moved up the stairs first, followed by Chad and then Tobias. As Leonek ascended, he saw one of the creatures above him, gripping its spear and net. Fortunately, its back was to them, and it did not appear to have noticed them yet. Tobias was able to hear it breathing even before he caught sight of it.
OOC,No need for a Sanity roll; you've all seen this one before.

Leonek motions them to stop, conveying in a few gestures what was going on.
He slowly draws the knife from the sheath and readies to launch an attack as soon as Chad clears it.

OOC,Each of you has one round to act before the creature is aware of your presence. Only two of you may attempt to engage in melee combat due to the tight confines of the stairs. [b]Chad[/b], you may fire twice if you use your pistol, and the range is point blank. [b]Tobias[/b], let me know if you want to try the alien device.

Tobias silently pulls out the alien device and readies it. With the other two in front, he's afraid of hitting them so will wait until there's a clear shot; he stays in the shadows as a back-up surprise attack. Kind of thing.

Chad considers his options. The pistol report would echo thorough the whole cave, and he didn't want to give up all surprise just yet in a 3v1 fight. So Chad pulls his knife, and motions to Leonek and Tobias to attack, and rushes the beast with intent to kill.

OOC,[b]Chad[/b], go ahead and roll Knife. The base chance is 25%. If you hit, you can roll damage (1d4).
Chad misses his awkward attempt to rush and stab the creature.

When there's a clear shot, Tobias points the gadget at the beast and 'fires' it.

Tobias had his best opening before Leonek and Chad closed with the thing, so he pointed the device at it and squeezed. Nothing happened. Was he holding it wrong? Was the wiring not quite right?
OOC,[b]Chad[/b] and [b]Leonek[/b], you may act again if you wish. [b]Tobias[/b], you may try to fire again, which takes place at the top of the next round, after they attack but before the creature goes. The weapon does not use Handgun skill but rather has its own skill, Electric Gun, which has a base skill of 15%. You're close enough for point blank range, so that effectively doubles it to 30%. However, because of its alien nature it will only work on a roll of 1-2 on 1d6. Otherwise, it simply does not fire. You'll need to make this roll before you try the skill roll. If you do something other than shoot, the creature will get to go first.

Leonek lunged again at the creature, just as the bolt of lightning crackled past him. He nearly lost his footing, but somehow managed to plunge his blade into the creature's weak spot.
OOC,I don't know how you handle impales, so I just rolled regular damage.
