Leonek crawls up to some covers to the right of Chad, trying to remain hidden.

Chad, Leonek, and Tobias carefully made their way to the edge of the ruins. Peeking out around the fragments of the building, they could see about forty yards of open ground separating them from the road. A wall divided the grounds from the road, beyond which they could see a blue sedan by the roadside. There was a gate in the wall with a wooden barricade blocking vehicle access to the ruins, though it was possible for people on foot to do so. This was in fact what the very tall man who was approaching the ruins had done. He was walking up the path and heading in their general direction, and he was currently about twenty yards away. He wore a long trenchcoat that concealed his form, and he appeared to walk with a limp, though his legs were not visible. A hat partially concealed his face, but enough was visible for them to notice the telltale signs that showed on so many other residents of Dunwich. In one of his gloved hands, he gripped a revolver. He didn't appear to have notced them.

OOC,[b]Leonek[/b], please roll Sanity. Sanity loss is 0/1, as I think you've already lost 3 for seeing these guys, and the maximum loss is 4. I believe [b]Chad[/b] and [b]Tobias[/b] have already lost 4, so they are used to them at this point and do not need to roll. You may all act freely now. If you want to shoot at the man right now, it is long range for the handgun (skill is halved), but normal range for the electric gun.

Chad pistol still ready gestures to the others to remain quiet while the strange man drew closer. Oh would he love to capture that car right about now. But their best odds of resolving the encounter favorably would be if the man was a bit closer.

Tobias readies the electric gun and prepares to shoot on the soldier's command. He isn't that confident with it.

Leonek feels his blood boil as he sees the half-man, gripping the hilt of his knife tighter.

The man continued to advance, towards the ruins but not directly towards their position. He cleared half of the distance, still showing no sign of having noticed them. More distant gunfire came from below.

Chad now takes steady aim with his pistol and in an authoritative voice commands the stranger. "Drop your weapon!" And to Leonek and Tobias "If he moves kill him"

Leonek crouches, his body coiled up, ready to dash forward should the man make any untoward reactions.

The man looked around, then started to sprint for the cover of the ruins.

OOC,[b]Chad[/b], you may fire two shots before he reaches the ruins if you wish. [b]Tobias[/b], you may attempt to fire once. You are both at normal range. [b]Leonek[/b], you may also act.

Leonek launches like an arrow towards the man, trying to describe a trajectory that wouldn't put him into his companions' line of fire.

OOC,[b]Leonek[/b], you'll get to intercept and attack him this round, but it will take place after [b]Chad[/b] and [b]Tobias[/b] have fired (if they choose to do so). You can go ahead and roll to hit now, and you may roll damage if you do.

Leonek sprints until he's alongside the man and then suddenly stops launching his elbow into the man's face.

Chad fires at the strange man but his shot is wide and fails to find its mark.

Tobias is impressed with Leonek's nerve and skill at hand to hand combat. As soon as he has an opening he fires the electric gun; at least, he pulls the trigger but nothing happens. He ducks back under cover and waits, giving the gun a shake and a hard stare, before having another go.

Oh my,Was it nerve and skill, or some hope that his companions would actually floor the thing before he got there :p
