There's another thread that needs to advance a little more before I can start Episode 4, which is when you'll wake up, but that should be relatively quick. I'll post here with a link to the new thread (where you'll wake up) when it's time. Is that enough, or do you still want a PM?

"Losing a lot of blood... Losing too much fast..." Salem panting and running as fast as he can. The pain soaring through his back, he could feel his abdominals unusually cold. Internal bleeding. The bullet did a good number on him, but Salem is still holding on.

Glancing back, Salem saw Horsham emerge from the shack, brandishing a double-barrelled shotgun. The fast constable was hot on his heels, and the sergeant fired again. A second bullet breezed past Salem. The slow constable began shambling after Salem, as though there were something very wrong with his legs. The sergeant fired one more shot, but Salem was far enough ahead of him that it was even less accurate.

Salem kept running. The shooting had stopped, but the two constables and Horsham were still pursuing him. The bobbies blew on their whistles as they chased him. Up ahead was a stretch of beach where he could see tourists here and there.

Still clenching his abdominals, Salem took a quick scan of the beach for any escape opportunities. His thoughts beginning to fog as Salem is losing blood, panting exhaustingly but the adrenaline still pumping.
