Patrick wiped his knife on the corpse's pants leg, and nodded to the commander putting his knife back in its holster. His attention swayed slightly with the sound of gunfire, but he shrugged it off when he was certain whoever was shooting weren't shooting at them. He walked over to the prisoner and said quietly, "Do you understand English, lad?"

You look at the men... and he doesn't has a face. You can see that he has a mouth, nose, eyes, but there is a huge membrane of skin that cover the entire face, and he isn't able to breath properly. Make a sanity roll.

Alyssa also goes over to help the freed prisoner, and she is shocked when she sees his face.

Patrick is surprised by the disfigured prisoner, but it doesn't stun him so much. He had expected some weird stuff on this outing - they had been warned. "Damn, you're an ugly cuss."

The comander look at him and says:
-What is that??

Alyssa recovers quickly. "It's some sort of membrane covering his face," she says, trying to remove it. "We've got to help him; he can't breathe!"

Patrick suggested with a look of distaste on his face, "Might be more compassionate just to put him out of his misery." He got his knife up and ready to dispatch the suffering man should he be given the order.

[Mr. Handy]

Alyssa has no idea how to remove the membrane. "How can you say that?" she asks. "We've got to try to help him. Please tell me one of you is a medic."

-No madam. There are several waiting for us outside the city, but it was too dangerous to send any of them with us. With have some basic training but it's only that-says the officer.

[Mr. Handy]

"Well, that's more training than I've had," says Alyssa. "Please try to help him. We might benefit, too, if he knows something about the enemy."

He nods.
-Very well. O'Brien, cut the skin of the men and see what you can do.
Patrick roll medicine and a luck roll.

"Damn it, Jim! I'm a soldier, not a doctor!" Patrick said with his best Dr. Bones McCoy imitation. He shrugged and went to work on the man's face, grimacing with distaste - although one could not really tell if that was because it was disgusting, or because he thought it was a waste of time.

Patrick stopped and stepped back, shaking his head, "I've got no idea what to do with this poor sap."

The men is screaming horribly. He is also bleeding and you think you probably cut something you shouldn't. After some time the men loses his consciences. Or maybe he is dead.
Everyone lose 1 point of sanity.

Alyssa winces and hurriedly checks the man for a pulse.

He is still alive.
The comander loses his patience.
-We are losing our time here. Let's put him near a house, knock the door, and leave him. We are putting our mission in danger.

[Mr. Handy]

"All right, we've done all we could," says Alyssa. She helps move the unconscious man inside and then follows the others.

You continue to hear several shots. You continue in the direction of your objective. All you see are very old houses, that look sinister. But you don't see anyone anymore. You arrive at the Marsh Mansion when the sun is starting to appear on the horizont. You see a wall and a gate; it's about 10 meters from the gate until the house. The house is dark and silent.
Far away, you hear the shots and finally an explosion.

Patrick complies with a quick, "Yes sir!" But as he's putting the man near another house, he's muttering, "Shoulda just put a quick knife to the base of the skull, no pain, no fuss."

He turns toward the sound of gunfire and the explosion. "Aw man, they're having all the fun!" he says.
