Holdup

Post by Abdul Alhazred »

Hi folks,

Just so that you're all aware, I've sent a couple of PMs to try to keep things moving. I'm aware there's a little bit of a hold up, which is disappointing at this early stage, but hopefully we'll be underway again soon.

I could 'force' things along with a Keeper intervention but I'd rather avoid it if I could.

Hopefully the delay isn't down to my pacing of the game so far. I've tried to allow you all to have an opportunity to role play and introduce your characters to begin with. The scenario hook has just been let loose and from this point things will move along apace.

Another hold up - I'll chase Dr Laws again.

Generally speaking, a post every day or every two days doesn't seem too much to ask from everyone, and it'll keep things moving.

For me it is going well. Actually it's the first time I join a game forum. This weekend I had problems with my internet, but I can one or two posts per day.

I'm putting up a new roof this week and will be LARP-ing over the weekend, so Exeter will be somewhat slowed down.

I´ll be dropping my spot at the table, folks. I feel I'm dragging the pace down and am too busy with other commitments on the web. Sorry for the bumps in the road from Dr. Laws.

Regards,
Dave

Thanks, been addicted to TV-series lately. Searching for new fixes. Some great shows out there!
Hunted, Banshee, Strike Back - I've found some good watchable shows.

Basically, RPGs are scripts for movies and television shows, right?

So, I watch them with the mind set that they would be a great tie in for a scenario.
Sounds weird?

Damn, I was enjoying this too.

I'm no expert on the ToC system, although I confess I do like the look of it above CoC, but is Abdul fails to continue, I might have a go at running one of the other scenarios. If I do all here will have first dibs on characters if they want.

Ah! What a pity! I rather enjoy my first experience in play by post, even in English (although my english sucks).

(I enter the forum every day, but only on the topic "The Game" (always forget to look at the OOC).

Don't be too upset, just yet, guys. People drop off and on a bit. A couple of weeks of absence can be quite common. Life has a tendency to interrupt things. Insert evil laughter.

I've been off and off too often I'd like to admit to myself. But always come back. You'll see Abdul will drop by some day and say: Hi! Lets continue this.

In the meantime, check the other forums for vacant spots,

/Dave - thinking "was it my fault the game died?"

I doubt it was you Dave. If a Keeper dropped out because one of the players left that would be kind of childish. Any way we hadn't progressed far enough to make finding someone to replace you difficult.

I guess we'll only know if Abdul comes back, but I wouldn't have thought the loss of one player would be enough to give up on a game.

I suspect something's come up in Real Life[sup]TM[/sup], which means he's out of circulation.
