Daedalus´ findings (Shroudeye)

The fate of the Aquitania (1914-1925).
This ocean liner scenario follows a group of upper class travelers who have some time to kill. Maybe too much time.

Daedalus´ findings (Shroudeye)

Post by Dave Syrinx »

Going on a tour of the huge ship, Daedalus finds some facts about the ship, mostly by conversing with crew and gleaning looks at maps showcasing the vessel.

Due to a late launch of the ship, it doesn´t stand as the largest ship in the world. The German Imperator stole that title. Also, the Olympic had been refitted after the Titanic incident making it heavier than the beautiful ship. She still is the longest one, though.

"Long, tall, heavy, fastest what about luckiest?" Went through Daedalus´ mind as he read the schematics of the ship.

He looks for information regarding life boats and is reassured by the fact that the Aquitania sports a full coverage of all passengers to be granted a seat. Two of the life boats even have onboard wireless. As Daedalus walks through the Paladian lounge he is amazed by the gaudiness of the panels and interior artwork. It´s a floating estate... of pure luxury.

"Where are those gambling tables?" Almost regretting leaving Denton to unpack the cases in the stateroom he takes the stairs to F-deck. Halting in the stairs to realize the corridors are getting more crammed and filled with people he is hearing more people enjoying themselves than on the upper decks where no one pretends to be amazed by what they see. He remembers seeing some of the proprietors of the Athenaeum
on A-deck. Most prominently a Peter Wilks, whom with he shares a common hobby. He overhears the captain´s name to be William T. Turner.

A list of officers has been posted on the dining hall, presumably an order for delivery.
