The 2 of you make it to the bottom of the stairs. It is dark down here, but appears to be the same as when you were last down here.

Richard walks and looks under the stairs for any type of door or false wall with his flash light.

As you look under the stairs there is nothing there. You notice the window you broke out. A small amount of sunlight comes in keeping it from being completely black.
There is a small room walled off in one corner of the basement. The door is closed.

Cupping her hands to her face, Jordie shouts down the stairs, "I do believe you have pulleys to haul our lights down?"

OOC,Ben, just to confirm, the other three windows are boarded up from the inside?

Richard pulls out the pullies and hands them to Jordie.
He then turns and looks for the best place to anchor a hook tohang the pullies from to give them the best leverage to get the lights down without the stairs having to bear the weight of the lights.

There is a main support beam running across the ceiling. It seems to be the main support structure here.

Ben,will I be able to place a hook in this beam close enough to the stairs so we can use the pullies to get the lights down here?

"Thanks love," returning a smile to Richard, Jordie begins placing the pulley along the support beam of the ceiling.

Scott goes to help Jordie make ready to lower the lights.

Harrison helps lower the lights and then goes down too.

Richard helps with getting the lights down and set up.

Michael also helps with the lights before heading down the stairs.

With everyone working together and the pulleys and ropes, you get the large kerosene lights into the basement. When you light them up, they light up the area very well.

Scott watches the rush to the basement, now that the bright lights seem to have banished peoples fears.

Scott thinking:   Its getting a mite crowded down there

With that thought he begins to wander through the downstairs rooms.

After the lights are up and running Richard walks over to the door to the small room in the corner and takes a close look at it including the ground at the base and all around the door frame checking for anything unusual. The fact that he spent some time and energy digging out real dirt from the window on the outside and there is no dirt on the inside has Richard a little shaken. He is half afraid that if he opens the door he may be opening a portal to some evil place.
