Compartment 1

This Single Cabin has a Pullman-style bed that folds into a comfortable sofa during the day and can be unfolded to reveal a single bed that isn't terribly wide but which has expensive cotton sheets freshly pressed and a roll-like pillow. The bed currently sits as a couch with wavy green-blue upholstery. A sink in a lovely, closing vanity is fitted into the corner and it provides both hot and cold water, as well as containing a little cupboard underneath that provides a glimpse at the porcelain pipes as well as access to additional storage space. There is, naturally, a button that will summon the Cabin Steward as well as an emergency brake pull with a warning beneath that threatens an expensive fine if you are to pull it without good reason. There isn't much room in this compartment, especially with any hand luggage brought onboard, but it is beautiful.

There is a luggage rack above the bed-sofa and there is an inlaid, fold-out table crouches beneath the window and shortly above this table is a little shelf containing a lamp with a red lamp shade, a weighted vase containing a single red flower and a glass ash tray. Spring-loaded roller blinds can be drawn up to view the outside world or to gain more privacy. Half of the window glass can be slid down to allow wind in, odours out or merely to stick one’s head out the window to get a good view of the surrounding countryside rushing past. Between each compartment stands the mosaic-floored cabinet de toilette where passengers may make use of a sink and mirror to wash their faces and apply make-up. This is shared between the two compartments and when one door is opened, the other door locks.
A suitcase on the luggage rack contains, changes of clothes for one week, suits and ties, basic hygeine items (razor, shaving cream, toothpaste and toothbrush) and a copy of Mein Kampf for recreational reading.
Is it bad that I listen to this about ten times a day?

Schiller bites his bottom lip as he looks at his new sleeping quarters. "Finally some rest," he murmurs under his breath as he stores his lugggae away. He flops down and rests and relaxes as he stares out the window at Paris.

The train begins to pull out of the station at a leisurely pace that sends shivers up through the sofa beneath him. Everything is quite comfortable here. There's even a spot to hang his fob watch not far from where he was sleeping. This was bound to be a relaxing journey and an interesting one judging by how many Germans happened to be riding the train. There was also, of course, the question of who happened to be in the Private Car at the very end. Nobility, perhaps? A movie star? So many illustrious people travelled the Orient Express but only a certain kind of person paid for their own car.

Schiller hangs up his fob watch and thinks about the interesting people he might meet on the Orient Express. He is tired from his hurried hustle to catch the train, however, so he decides to relax for 15 minutes or so. He pulls out a copy of Mein Kampf from his belongings and begins to read from where he left off.

After reading for around 15 minutes, Schiller decides to get out and be sociable. He puts his book away and begins moving down toward one of mingling cars.

The cabin steward takes the suitcase down from the shelf and quickly moves through it, taking care not to examine something for too long while still checking for medicine. In the end, he shakes his head and replaces the suitcase back on the shelf before moving back out into the corridor, locking the door behind him.
Spot Hidden on the suitcase, reveals changes of clothes for one week, suits and ties, basic hygeine items (razor, shaving cream, toothpaste and toothbrush).

Cecil follows the Attendant into the cabin and has a careful look round. He picks up the copy of Mein Kampf and flicks through. "I got a copy of the new English translation of this in the Spring; very interesting reading. Hard going though." He says to the room in general. He then peers over the attendants shoulder as he looks through the suitcase but no medicine is found. "Not to worry, thank you for looking."
He follows the attendant back out.

Schiller lies on the bed, fingers slightly outstretched, but otherwise remaining still while Father O'Hanlon snores, deeply asleep on the seat beneath the window.

Gerhard Schiller blinks the sleep from his eyes, 'how long has he laid here?' He cannot even recall coming to bed. His stomach growls, a reminder that his last meal was some time ago as well. He begins to sit up and take in his surroundings, the gentle motion of the train bringing the past into sharp focus. He quietly begins to wash and dress and heads to the corridor in search of a bite to eat...

It seems to still be daylight at least.
OOC,You will need to post in the corridor - as occasionally there are others there - and then you can post in the Lounge Car. Yes, it's a bit complicated but that's so that the players can move around as they please, meet, mingle and both join and leave each other's threads.
