The lounge car is decorated in the Art Nouveau style with many a decorative flourish, particularly on the rich mahogany ceiling panels. Fresh flowers adorn the tables, at the moment blue orchids, with beautiful lamps adorning the window sills. Each table holds two very wide, oh so comfortable, arm chairs made with a blue-grey upholstery. The chairs are so large that they limit the number of people who can fit around the tables and therefore within the Lounge Car itself but on the plus side the chairs are perfectly comfortable and would be perfect for a quick snooze. As the train sits quietly at the station, the lounge car seems strangely sad and disturbed, as though it had been abandoned and cut off from all the world around it.

The bartender retreats back into the bar car.

[DrPeterson]

Wolfgang enters the lounge car looking freshly washed, but somewhat worse for wear. He smiles a greeting at those present in the car.

[Mr. Handy]

Elena smiles at Wolfgang and waves to him. "Good morning, Wolfgang!" she calls. "Won't you come join me?"

[DrPeterson]

Wolfgang's smile broadens as he sees Elena and he walks over, greeting the others there.


"I would be honoured."


He sits down and unbuttons his jacket.
"I hope you had a peaceful night?"

[Mr. Handy]

"Other than that dream I told you about," says Elena. "You just missed some very interesting people. Svetlana Altukhov is a movie star, far more beautiful than I. She tends to play the femme fatale, and she just went into the Bar Car when it opened a few minutes ago. And you'll never guess who her escort is: Herr Doktor Konstantin Heydrich of the SS-Ahnenerbe, the younger brother of none other than Reinhard Heydrich. I suspect his presence on this train has something to do with the Private Car, which Svetlana seems to know something about. It contains Egyptian artwork, apparently."

Wolfgang flinches at the mention of the nazi's on board, but his face instantaneously turns to charming when he addresses Elena.

Psychology,He is cleary on edge knowing that there are some high ranking brass on board.

Russian,"More beautiful? I don't believe it."

He smiles gently.

Russian,"And I prefer women with brains to match their beauty, not their shoe size. Actresses rarely live up to the former."

Elena has come to know Wolfgang well by now, and she gives his hand a reassuring squeeze.

Russian,[color=darkred]"Thank you,"[/color] she says. [color=darkred]"There has been some other gossip of interest. Those explosions earlier were from explosives used to stop the train as the staff said. But what they didn't say is that three of them have gone missing! [b]Svetlana[/b] knew, though, and she told [b]Mr. Parker[/b], who has a fear of bartenders - or at least the one in the Bar Car, who does seem creepy and appears to be waiting for something. I think her escort's presence here is also connected to [b]Schiller[/b], whom you also missed. He has been involved in archaeology, though his area of expertise is Scandinavia and the origin of the Thule rather than Egypt. This may tie in with the books too. [b]Parker[/b] is also an odd sort. Earlier he clutched his chest, but he insisted he was fine. It looked like he may have been concealing some small animal that could have bitten him. And he had a dream last night that this train was designed by H.G. Wells or something, and that we were all lost in time forever. Which is odd, since [b]Schiller[/b] seems to think we've been on the train for at least a week even though it just departed yesterday. He dreamed of a forest at the bottom of a long staircase, with something in the trees watching him. The movie star told [b]Parker[/b] that the Private Car is a sort of roving museum, but when I spoke to her later she denied having seen it. I think she's covering up something, and she's already pretty much said that the Private Car is the reason she's here. Oh, and she knows [b]Charles Gavigan[/b] from London too. He had been talking with a British Colonel and other members of the British Union of Fascists."[/color]

Wolfgang nods appreciatively and returns the squeeze.

Russian,"[color=#BF0040]I met [b]Schiller[/b], but the rest are not known to me. It seems like a lot of things are taking place on this train. The mystery surrounding the wagon might even obscure our presence here.[/color]"

He smiles relieved.

Russian,"[color=#BF0040]We might just make Constantinople in one piece.[/color]"

[Mr. Handy]

Elena smiles back.

Russian,[color=darkred]"So do I, but now it's Istanbul, not Constantinople,"[/color] she says. [color=darkred]"They changed the name nine years ago."[/color]

He chuckles.

Current occupants include Madamoselle Nico Dubois, Mr. Parker, Elena, Lily Gavigan and Wolfgang.

"Hmm, I don't suppose you're a spy?" Nico asked Parker. "Or a jewel thief or anything salacious? I'd heard...."

The door opens and the Roby family enters. Mr. Roby carries a large luggage case in hand. "Are we ready for the puppet show?" he asks broadly as he heads on down the aisle and toward the bar car. "Follow us if you are so inclined."

[Mr. Handy]

Elena speaks to Wolfgang in Russian, still watching Jonathan for a reaction.

Russian,[color=darkred]"Do you think you're up to watching the puppet show?"[/color] asks [b]Elena[/b]. [color=darkred]"It's likely to be disturbing. The flyers for it alone had quite an effect. Oh, and be careful what you say around the actress, [b]Svetlana[/b]. She likely understands Russian, and she is chummy with the fascists."[/color]

Khan ignores all pleasantries as he tears into the room, realising he has no idea what his target looks like. He decides quickly to continue ignoring polite society to "jovially" yell, "Mr. Parker, where are you!?"

Wolfgang nods, acknowledging Elena's words, and then smiles apologetically at the rest of the company.

He looks up at the drunk man as he barges in and then seemingly turns his attention back to the rest of his company.

"I shall accompany you," says Elena, glancing at the newcomer and then back to Jonathan. "It seems everyone is interested in Mr. Parker."

Parker's head snaps up at the shouting man and he half rises from his chair, one hand extended for a hand shake almost before he knows what he was doing. Then it's like some sort of script clicks into gear and he will finish the handshake and gesture the man into the seat opposite him. "I'm sorry? I don't believe I've had the pleasure?"

OOC: Sorry, my depression acted up over the last few months. Seasonal thing, I think. Feeling slightly better now.

IC: Parker seems to have dozed off to sleep mid conversation and looks confused rather confused. "What time is it? What did I miss?"

"Mr Parker! We need to talk, urgently and privately. A friend of yours is both thoroughly creepy and quite convincing." Khan lumbers with great haste to Mr Parker's location and begins trying to get him up out of his seat and get moving. His unwashed and sweaty fingers likely feel rather unpleasant

"...I have a friend...? Umm, I mean, who?"

"No no, not here. Come, we can speak in my room; I'm traveling solo."
Khan heads towards his room, and begins edging Mr Parker with him anxiously.
