Clay jumps off the 65 bus less than 50 yards away from the college and almost directly outside 'Ouch tattoo and piercings' the shop his friend Danny told him about. Clay can see two people through the window. Nearest the door is a worn middle aged woman with bleach blond hair, she is sat behind a reception desk reading a magazine. Behind the woman and on the right a balding man with long lank hair sits back in a chair fly open and scratching himself. To Clays eye the shop looks a mess.

Looking at the mans catalog Clay soon realises the man in the shop is not the original artist for the tatoo he is looking for. Under questioning he admits that he saw it on a man

The balding man turns out to be the shops proprietor, an ageing punk by the name "Nipper" is proud to show the Clay his portfolio, which does indeed include a tattoo very similar to the girl’s. He claims the tattoo is his own design, but while it is similar, but not the same, as the ones on Elira, there are distinct changes in the artist’s style, clearly Nippers are not as good. Finally, Nipper admits he stole the designs from a nearby shop, "It's just round the corner, owned by some polish blokes, I popped into say hello, got a good eyeful of his ink, really nice stuff, never seen the style before."


Clay leaves the shop with an address relatively close by and with the distinct impression that Nipper was scared of the other shop owner.
