Greg pointed out, "Mr. Sprig never said he saw them attacking his rose bush. It could have been just an assumption on his behalf. Strange new violent visitors to the neighborhood... recent damage - to his mind the two must be connected, but it isn't necessarily true. And nothing I've been researching seems to link these people or their beliefs with rose bushes. I was just kind of hoping to find their Archilles heel."

Liz returns her attention to Mitar. "Do you remember what day you saw the man at the McDonald's car park, and what time of day?" she asks.

"People are creatures of habit," says Liz. "If they went there once around that time, they might do again. Then it would be possible to get the number off their license plate and maybe even see where they go next."

Jason remains quiet during the conversation. He lights a cigarette. Picks up a note pad and doodles some burning roses, then scratches them out and flips the pad shut.

The Priest Father Marakis looks at Jason coughs politely and then shakes his head indicating smoking is not allowed in the church.

I don't want to seem inhospitable but I have parishioners to see and Mitar has already put in a days work already so perhaps you would care to take your discussion elsewhere.

Greg nodded to the man of the cloth and says to Liz rubbing his hands together, "That's a great idea. A stakehout... just like the police detectives. How exciting." He followed the rest of them out of the church.

"Yes, a stakeout is exactly what I had in mind," says Liz. "Jason, that sounds like it would be your speciality. Some of us can do other things at the same time. I've already found some useful information about the Verbetoi, but I know there's a lot more to discover. There's a limit to what I can get online, though. I'll need to visit a proper library to continue my research, maybe at UCL."

Clay looks up from where he's been tapping away at his mobile.

"Says here the guy who does my tats, just spoke to a young lad about the girls tattoos, the young lad said there is a guy does some very similar work out of 'Ouch tattoo and piercing' in Ealing Broadway, opposite the college" I reckon it would be worth going over there and having words

GM: BenTheRat is swamped at the moment so NPCing at his instruction.

"Maybe we could ask Professor Adrian C Gossham, Chair of Eastern European Studies at Brichester University, about the Verbetoi - He is very well studied in Balkan culture, specifically Albania," Greg suggests.
ooc: Sorry,I was on vacation in Florida without a real computer for a while there.

"Yes, that sounds like a good idea too," says Liz. "He may know more about them. Maybe we should see him first. What we learn from him could suggest which avenues of research to pursue. Right now we'd mostly be guessing."
