A couple of the reporters turn towards Liz.

[Journalist 1] "Odetta whose he? (looks at his notebook) I thought he said it was Teto?"

[Journalist 2] "We'll never bloody find out from the locals, not since that prat ran the racist line

"Teto is the housekeeper," says Liz. "Odetta is one of the local women. She was having an argument with the Tolkas last night."

Both of the reporters look at Liz with new found interrest.

[Journalist 1] "Do you know where the Odetta woman lives? Maybe there is some truth in the racist story then."
[Journalist 2] "So do you know which house she lives in?"

"Sorry, I don't know which house she lives in," says Liz. "I was hoping one of you might. What's this about a racist story? I got here a bit late."

[Journalist 1] Oh some sod went around and door stopped the entre close, reported that the fire “might be racially motivated” he reckoned the length of time between the fire starting and 999 being called was a suspiciously long and it was from a payphone, not a house phone. Personally, I think its pretty typical, everyone locked away in their houses curtains drawn wrapped up in their own little TV world.
