April 8 - 10:00 - Bussiness Class lounge.

The Business class lounge is a world away from the crowded airport terminal all leather chairs and polished wood it is quite and air conditioned and at the moment just a littl bit frantic. Along the far wall four community support officers are setting up tables desk and desktop PC's, about a dozen police are being briefed by a tall sargeant. while other officers guard the entrance.

There are about a dozen other people sitting around the lounge the majority look to be fellow travellers although several are clearly BAA staff members.

A steward in a white shirt moves among the chairs and tables offering beverages, soft drinks and snacks.

Clayton relaxes and tries to hear what is going on in the briefing picking a chair as close to the Sargent as possible without drawing suspicion. He gladly accepts a soft drink and whatever snack the steward is offering.

The Steward hands Clayton a small bowl of olives and an ice cold glass of coke which Clayton realises he's absolutely deperate for.
OOC:,Listening in on the briefing requires a Listen roll. However, give me a Sneak roll first, as this will help determine wethe you are spotted or not depending on how observant the police are. Note: Clayton also notices the police escort a young woman (Liz) into the lounge she is not handcuffed and is seated an isle away.

"Cheers," says Liz, taking a steaming cup of tea and some snack foods. "I never did get to finish my tea earlier." She sips at her tea, the pleasant aroma and the hot liquid reviving her. Then she begins to eat as she waits for someone to explain what is happening.

Liz finds it hard not to gulp the ta right down she feels positively dehydrated.

Two seats to her left a portly man in what she takes to be his mid fifties leans across, "You might as well make yerself comfy luv, they're taking their own sweet time about things"
OOC:,A Spot Hidden please.
The man wipes a handkerchief across his forhead "So what did they grab you for"

"I haven't the foggiest," says Liz, drinking her tea as fast as she can without burning herself. "I don't even know what's going on. It's all so confusing. Maybe they think I saw something. Do you know why you're here?" She looks around, her keen vision picking something out.

Behind the man Liz notices the arrival of a short slim and rather studious man come in escorted by four armed police (Greg) they seat him and then one of them kneels down beside him in conversation.

What is more apparent to Liz is the man she is talking to is clearly unwell he licks his clearly cracked lips a lot while he talks and slurps down tea as quickly as possible, his shirt has large sweat patches under the arms.

"Oh I know why I'm here luv it was that girl." He pauses to take a slurp of tea but continues apparently not interrested wether Liz is listening or not. "Last night was busy, and the last fair was some city boy wanker who dragged me half across town, and then left a quid for a tip. I'm heading home on the North Circular, so me light was off, and I'm not stopping for anyone, I just want home for a bacon buttie and a cuppa don't I. Anyways, I've just stopped at the lights and there's a tap on the window and I turn to give whoever it is an earful, but it's this little girl, long dark hair, probably be a right heart breaker in five years time.

Anyways I wind the window down, "look says I, I'm sorry love, I'm done for the night, want me to get on the blower and get another cab? but then I catch her eyes, black and hot, and that's the last thing I remember...”
OOC:,Psychlogy roll pls
Next thing I know I'm in the rank at Heathrow, there's no sign of the girl, but there's an armed copper outside the cab, with a machine gun pointed right in me face!"

A young man, mid 20's with short hair and glasses looks around a bit bewildered at his circumstance. And it is said that misery loves company... so he's glad to see he's not the only one who's lost up in whatever was going on. He helped himself to a drink, then asked the steward, "Do you have a first aid kit? I've gotten a little scrape when they accosted me in the bathroom." He looked around the room and said, "I'm a doctor, was anyone else hurt?"
ooc,do we all hear this man's story?

Liz couldn't tell much about the man's state of mind, but he seemed to have had a similar experience to her own. "I saw that girl too," says Liz. "Cute kid, but a bit creepy. My flight had just got in from Paris, and I was quite knackered. I somehow got turned about and ended up in the Departures section. There was a Costa Coffee there, so I sat down and bought a cuppa while I went online. It was about a quarter to nine when this girl tugs on my sleeve and stares into my eyes, real hot just like you said. That's the last thing I remember. When I came to, I was standing in front of passport security with this guard accusing me of trying to go through and saying he stopped me. They didn't believe him, though, and they hauled him off in handcuffs. Then they escorted me here. I wonder what's happened to my computer and my luggage. I hope nobody's nicked them. I'll have to check with Lost Property after this is all over."

She looks up at the young doctor. "I'm not hurt, just quite dehydrated. I can help out a bit too, if you like."

Clayton walked over close to the police and was almost within earshot when he kicked the chair.

Sneak roll target (40) (1d100=47)

The police Sargent looks over at Clayton, "Oh sorry, was just wondering if I could get some water? but I'll just ask the steward, sorry to disturb you."

"Thanks, I'll certainly let you know." Greg said. Taking a sip of the Coke just handed to him. He looked around to the others to see if anyone else had been injured.

Greg doesn't so much sip his drink as drain the glass dry, he wonders if he could ask someone to turn up the air conditioning.

OOC: You certainly don't hear everything but you catch the gist of what he says, you can certainly hear what Liz has to say, if your looking in their direction you can give me a Medicine roll as well.

The man leans over to Liz and introduces himself as Tom Mason then looks up at Greg "You a victim of our little dark haired bombshell as well then."

"I'm Liz Penhaligon," says Liz. "I've always been interested in weird stuff, but I've never heard of anything like this happening. There's got to be an explanation. Maybe some sort of hypnosis?" She finishes her tea and asks for a refill.

Behind you all the door opens and a man in his thirties is led in sat down while the police escort sits down alongside him (this is Jacob). Moments later six burly policemen come in, the first two have their hands full with a middle age greek woman who is berating them constantly, between the second two comes the small girl with the dark hair who is lead off immediatly towards another part of the lounge.

One of the policemen noticing Tom, Liz and Greg talking walks over. "You three, has no one told you not to talk to each other? At the very least you are all witnesses to a pottential terrorist act and very definitely shouldn't be talking to one another so please go and sit on seperate seats."

Clayton takes a seat while grumbling, "Terrorist act, we are the victims here and you treat us like we're the criminals." He grabs another drink and some more olives.

Greg started to respond to Tom when the police came back filled with all their excessive testosterone. He didn't get to give his name, but he did nod to Tom - in reference to the mysterious, lonely girl. "Officer... constable?" he asked stepping towards the one that had instructed them not to talk. "Sir, whether or not we are guilty of some horrible crime against this great country, we're still entitled medical treatment, right? I was a bit banged up when your men fitted me for metal bracelets. I'd appreciate access to a first aid kit, and I can patch some of these others up as well, if you don't mind. I am a doctor, after all." He looked towards the others and said, "Dr. Greg Hammer," with a nod. "I think maybe a call to my embassy might be in order too, but if you permit me to treat our wounds, I will certainly not press the issue."

Greg sees...,Greg is pretty sure that Tom is suffering from dehydration, and Liz is showing early symptoms as well.
The policeman looks at Greg, with a rather tired expression on his face like he's heard it all before. I'll talk to my sargeant, but there are several foreign nationals here so I'm sure the correct procedures are being followed. As for being a doctor, if you have a complaint about your treatment or any ijuries you have suffered I suggest you talk to the police doctor. I'll ask that he come talk to you at some point.

While the policeman talks to Greg, Tom leans over to Liz and whispers, "Dont worry love, they're all a bit jumpy I heard someone say the girl had got all the way onto a plane. You waite until the papers get a wiff of it there'll be a media circus what with some immigrant kid waltzing through Heathrow security onto an international flight, gutter press will have a field day"

Clayton mulls over what he heard before the police sargeant caught sight of him. Someone was arrested after sneaking onto a plane, they are treating them as a terrorist at the moment, the Police are going to take witness statements from anyone who came into contact with the terrorist and arrest anyone they think helped her board the plane.

Putting as friendly a face he can muster, Greg says to the officer, "You might want to get that doctor in here sooner rather than later. Many of us are suffering from dehydration - which might be a symptom of something... a virus perhaps, chemical or biological warfare maybe... I don't know. You're not letting me find out. So before you have a bunch of us keeling over or infecting the rest of you, I would think it's a high priority to make sure we're ok to be around." He turned back to the steward and lifted a finger to order another drink.

Liz nods after Tom speaks, but she doesn't dare reply verbally after having already been cautioned by the policeman. She drinks her second cup of tea in silence, trying to watch the little girl to see if she does anything.

Jacob enters the lounge, surveying the area, the people and the atmosphere, trying to figure out who is the authority figure around here. Once he sees one he goes to that man.

Jacob is dressed with a fine black suit with a white tie. A small beard decorates his face and his head is covered with a simple Crocheted yarmulke.
How rude! I deserve to know why I was being handcuffed and what is happening over here.
DM,*What about his personal bag?*

OOC: Jacob,Does Jacob want to talk to the man who just released him from his cuffs or someone else higher up the pecking order
OOC Liz,The girl is escorted towards a section of the lounge which apparently leads to a quite area and bedrooms. Can I have a Spot Hidden from Liz please.
At Greg's remarks the officers demeanour changes somewhat. "OK sir, I'll go talk to the Police doctor straight away, but he's very busy at the moment. In the mean time you have to understand you are a suspect in an investigation, I can't have you wandering around talking to other witnesses or suspects. In the mean time I'll get the steward to bring out some jugs of water perhaps you can limit yourself to making sure everyone is drinking enough."

Jacob takes a few moments to look around and quickly spots what he assumes is a police sargeant, perhaps not the most senior man but clearly the man in charge. As Jacob walks towards him the sargeant looks at his clipboard and starts to walk off in the opposite direction.

Greg thanks the officer and tries to identify how many of the people in the room are suffering from dehydration on his way back to a seat near Liz and Tom. "You two should drink up... small sips, but lots of them." He was working on his fresh drink as well. As he scanned the room for other victims of dehydration, he put his hand over his mouth and muttered quietly to Liz & Tom, "Their doctor is busy. Was there an explosion? Gunfire? Clearly something happened while I was blacked out."

OOC: Greg, without examining each and every person Greg needs a spot Hidden to identify which people have symptoms.
OOC: The lounge is getting rather busy, there must be nearly 80 people in the room excluding the police. One thing is clear Liz, Greg, Jacob and Carlton along with about half a dozen other people have been put in their own section.

Edited: Put Jacob instead of Greg in error, sorry.

OOC Jacob,Whoops my mistake royya that last post should have read Greg not Jacob. However lets not let that Spot hidden go to waste. Sitting in one of the leather chairs is a young oriental man in British Airways uniform, he seems to be smoking despite the clear no smoking signs what attracts Jacob's attention is the speed with which the mans unattended cigarette is burning its like watching time lapse photography, as Jacob gets closer the man sees the burnt out ciggarette and clearly mutters "Bugger I only just lit that"

Dr. Greg quickly surveys the room and remembers his lessons from school about the common signs of dehydration, and looking at each person notes each symptom they seem to have. Then, he looks at his watch to see if his flight has already taken off.

Watching the digits change on his watch it dawns on Greg that at this point his plane will be somewhere over the channel, probably passing into French airspace any moment now.

He looks back at the people in the section nearest to him; Tom the Taxi driver shows the most acute symptoms, the young woman Liz is showing mild symptoms, as are both the young tough in the leather jacket and the bearded jewish guy who just came in (Clayton, Jacob) there are:

A tall well groomed British Border Security agent currently gulping from a can of coke.

The tall well built woman brought in with the girl, she's been sitting nervously in the far corner the wind taken out of her sails arfter recieving the same handcuff lecture as everyone.

A young oriental man in a Britsh Airways uniform.

All three seem to display some symptoms, although not as obvious as Greg's or the other four.

Keeper,How long was I out for, can I estimate?
"Everyone in here is showing signs of dehydration to some extent, excluding the police officers," Dr. Greg Hammer announces. "I encourage each of you to rehydrate yourselves - taking small, yet plentiful sips. Gulping your drink can lead to painful cramping in the abdomen."
ooc, actually, I have no idea if that's true or not. Just seems like something a doctor would say. LOL.

Greg, looking at his watch Greg reckons he was out for no more than 5-10 minutes certainly no more 10 minutes. NHS Advice for dehydration is to rehydrate the body by drinking plenty of fluids, such as water, diluted squash, diluted fruit juice or semi-skimmed milk. Severe dehydration might require different measures, but Greg doesn't believe any of this will be necessary even for Tom who is clearly the most dehydrated.

Greg nodded back to Clayton and whispered, "Apparently, she got around. I'd wager everyone who's dehydrated met up with her." He kept his thoughts on it likely being a virus to himself so as not to cause too much of a panic.

Liz shrugs in response to Greg's question, not wanting to risk speaking, especially when she doesn't have an answer. She sips rapidly at her second cup of tea rather than guzzling it. Distracted, she can't make out much detail as the girl is being led away.

Jacob stares at the man and his cigarette, forgetting completely his intentions to speak with the sergeant. The Cabbalist Rabbi read some weird stuff in his life but something was wrong here, could be the tension, probably his nerves are playing trick on his mind. He decides to walk to the man, as the man is dressed with British Airways uniform, he can supplement some answers.

semi-attentively, Jacob hears one of the passengers, probably a doctor calling for the people to drink so on his way to the oriental man he grabs a cup of water as the announcement of the doctor reminded him that he is thirsty.

Good day to you sir. I have not but to be aware how fast your cigarette was burning. But nonetheless, I came to ask nothing about your smoking habits but maybe you can answer me what is happening around here? Why we are being held here?

"I expect you're here for the same reason I'm here, your caught up in all that fuss with the terrorist girl"
OOC: Jacob,Phsycology roll please.
As he talks the young man stands up and walks over to a nearby drinks vending machine. Droping a pound coin into the machine he selects a drink only to have the machine pop sparks and start smoking.

"Oh come on." then turning to room in general and in a louder voice. How long are we going to be kept here? Some of us have jobs to get back to!

Several policemen look in his direction, but go back to their work when they see him collapse back into his chair.

Meanwhile the tall dark haired woman who gave the police such a hard time earlier looks around the room, her eyes alight on Liz Liz notices she has a rather pained expression on her face as she gives a weak smile. "I'm sorry darling, but do you have any pain killers on you? I have a terrible headache."

Greg has taken a seat with another drink and is working on it while milling about in his head just what all could manage to affect so many people in such a short time with just physical contact and of those things what sort of other symptoms might they have... and then he realized that he wasn't sure if she did touch everyone.

Looking around, he asked, "Did she touch any of you?" he asked aloud. He recalled the mysterious woman approaching him while he stood in queue and rolled up his sleeves to look and see if there was any noticeable discoloration on his hands or arms.

Terrorist girl?!
Jacob inquires with shock. He delves into his memories and finds a gap, a wide one ... it was a girl with dark hair, she looked in to his eyes and then he woke up behind the plant.
Phsycology Roll (1d100=25)

Sipping from his the cup of water, Jacob turns around as he hears the one who supposed to be a doctor asking about the girl. It seems the man got some knowledge about the girls that was responsible somehow for the reason they are being held in the lounge.

Hello
Jacob says as he approaches Greg. Hopefully, he’ll receive answers from the doctor as he fails to receive proper answers from the police and the oriental man.
My name is Jacob Greenberg, a lawyer. Do you know what is happening here?

"A lawyer?" Greg said smiling... "Well, in our case that's just as handy as having a doctor on hand. Pleased to meet you, Mr. Greenburg. My name is Dr. Greg Hammer, but you can call me Greg, seeing as how we've all become quite unintentionally intimate lately." He glanced over at the police, then motioned for Jacob to sit next to him.

Once Jacob was seated, he said quietly, "We are all under suspicion of aiding this terrorist girl... but you know as well as I do, that was no terrorist. I'm concerned that we might be afflicted with something though. We all experienced similar hallucinations, blacked out, and are suddenly stricken within 15-30 minutes with dehydration. It doesn't make any sense. They won't let me thoroughly check anyone to verify if we have something to be seriously worried about. But as for this girl situation, I'm sure that'll blow over. None of us did anything illegal, right? I mean... I blacked out, but I seriously doubt I'd be aiding a possible terrorist even if she was kind of hot. I have nothing to offer her for her cause - whatever that might be."

Liz digs into her purse and pulls out a botlte of Tylenol, opening it and handing a couple of tablets to the woman with a smile. "Here you go," she says. "I'm Liz, by the way. You might want to tell the doctor about your headache." She points out Greg. "I'm sorry I can't say more, but they don't want us talking to each other."

When Greg asks if the girl touched her, Liz shakes her head no and tugs at her sleeve to show what the girl had done to get her attention, but she doesn't say a word.

Clayton continues to eat and drink whatever they bring around while mumbling about being held when the cops don't know what they are doing.

Then to no one in particular, "What the hell did that chick do to us anyway? Nothing like I've ever seen or had done to me before."

The woman pops the tylenol in her mouth and smiles at Liz. "What are they going to do charge me with falling asleep on a plane? I hand my ticket over, this little girl comes over, I get on the plane, I have a nap and wake up with armed police waving guns in my face. I've done nothing wrong and I bet neither have you."
OOC: Liz,The woman has an accent Liz thinks probably Greek, she certainly looks as though she's a cast member from the movie 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding'. Liz also seems some kind of emotion washing over her face while she's talking but isn't sure what - Psychology roll please.

Same here.
Jacob reply to Greg
I stood in the lines before security and then I saw that girl. Moments pass and suddenly I appeared behind a planter without recalling what happened and the police shouting at me like I was Ben Laden. I wonder if there were cameras that recorded the whole incident, maybe we can track the lost time.

He shook his head, "If only they'd let me cut up front on that line like I asked, I might have been able to avoid this whole ugly situation."

"I wouldn't doubt it." Clayton replied. "There I was trying to return a Euro she dropped and the next thing I know I'm in the loo with the police banging on my stall. OOC: The girl was brought in about 10 minutes ago, along with the lady currently talking to Liz. She was smartly taken off to another section of the Business Class Lounge (the lounge has a number of bedrooms for long haul passangers and it seems she may have been taken to one of these)

OOC: Realistically, its not going to happen. She's in one of four rooms (you have no idea which) on a corridor with one exit which is guarded by a constable and the sargeant you saw briefing the others earlier.

So what now?
Jacob asks Greg
I think it is time for some initiative. I'll go and seek the authority figure over here, we do have rights you know, thought, this is the first time I was a suspect in a terrorist activity.
OOC,May I have Law roll to know our rights
Once Jacob will know what to do he will seek the constable.

What Jacob knows,Jacob doesn't need a law roll, as a Solicitor (what the majority of lawyers in the UK are called) he would know the following: If you're arrested (all PCs have been) and are taken to a police station and held in custody and questioned you lose your right to freedom until you are charged or released. The custody officer at the police station must tell you why you're being held and explain what your rights are. Your rights are to: •get free legal advice - for example, from a solicitor •arrange for someone you know to be told where you are •have medical help if you’re feeling ill - the police arrange this •see the rules the police must follow - these are called ‘Codes of Practice’ •see a written notice telling you about your rights - for example, to get regular breaks for food, washing and to use the toilet You will be searched and any possessions you have will be temporarily taken off you while you're in the cell. The police can’t normally hold you for more than 24 hours without charging you with a crime although there are exceptions to this one of which is related to acts of terrorism. At this point you have all been arrested on suspicion, you've all been searched its been explained why you are being held, but no one has explained your rights. None have you have been here for more than about 20 minutes, some of you a lot less. Jakob reckons he'll get laughed at if he complains, especially considering the number of people they are having to process at the moment. However, pointing out whats going wrong and the fact he's a solicitor might expedite matters somewhat.

"You know," Greg says to Jacob, "Maybe it might be better if you convince them to get the doctor in here to check on us. Like I said before, we are all showing some strange symptoms, and it could be essential to get medical attention at the soonest opportunity. By not giving us the medical treatment we need, they are risking our lives needlessly. They say their doctor is busy, but I don't know what with. Maybe you can find out more about that too? I'd like to know what the girl did that has her classified as a terrorist." He finished his drink and stood up, "Maybe I shall join you."

Jacob intends to speak to the constable, presenting himself as a solicitor and demanding to know what is going over here. In addition, Greg is joining him so he will present the man as a doctor and encourage the police to hear the doctor’s diagnosis.

The clearly harrassed police sargeant looks at Jacob "Sir, this is a large scale terrorist event, we've made 11 arrests and we've got over 80 people here assisting with our enquiries. Now I'm sure a gentleman such as yourself will understand that while procedure is not being carried out in a normal manner we are carrying out procedure. So if you want to help you can hand these out He offers Jacob a sheaf of papers which jacob can see are a printed statement of arrestees rights. As soon as everything is settled down and the detectives are ready to interview you we'll let you know. As for your health, I'll talk to the Police Doctor, but he is busy wth the girl at the moment.

The police sargeant looks at Greg to see if he has anything to add.

Greg is unable to make any further headway than Jacob in persuading the police sargeant to speed things up. But when he presses the Sargeant to get the Police Doctor to have a look at everyone, he has some success. At first the sargeant is unimpressed, he suggests neither Greg or Jacob look either particularly hot or dehydrated. However, he does look concerned when Greg suggests the symptoms may be caused by some kind of biological agent. Look sir, I'll talk to the Police doctor and ask him to come and giver everyone the once over but it will have to waite until he's finished with the girl.
OOC: Greg,Psychology 12 When the Police sargeant talks about the police doctor examining the girl there is a distinct look of distaste crosses his face, Greg has seen this expression before when laymen are forced to describe particularly unpleasant wounds to a doctor. Persuade 85 Greg failed to impress upon the Sargeant the need to speed things up. Persuade 55 He succeeds in the Persuading the sargeant of the need of a proper medical examination but only just. Medicine 19 He notes the Sargeant is correct, neither he nor Jacob seem to be exhibiting the symptoms they were 5 - 10 minutes ago. This is very uncharicteristic.

Greg finds it peculiar that they had managed to overcome dehydration effects so quickly, but shook his head and just filed it away for now. "Listen, officer... I don't mean to tell you your job, but you said yourself that you're not following any specific protocol due to the nature of the circumstance. I understand that we are all seen in a suspicious light right now, but perhaps your doctor could use some help with the girl? If it would speed him up to get him to check these fine people out for what could be life-threatening agents if they are not treated immediately, I think everybody would win from my cooperation. You have my ID in my carry-on luggage. You can check and verify that I am indeed a doctor. What do you think?"
ooc,So the dehydration seemed to coincide with the mystery girl's passing by?

Psychology roll (1d100=88)

Jacob is not satisfy with the answers given to him by the sergeant but decides not to push it.
He turns to Greg and adds.
Maybe we can see the girl, you can give her some medical care and I, as a lawyer, can insist on giving her Legal representation.

He takes Greg to the side and whisper
Greg,Now, I don't want to be sound weird or anything but something is wrong with the time. Could be my nerves because of the situation but I lost a sense of time. There is a gap of events in my memory of what happened earlier, and then I saw a man smoking a cigarette and it burned so quickly … something is wrong here.
OOC,Can we pop in by *mistake* to the lounge bedroom where the girl is?

"No Sir, what I said was we are following procedure, just not in the normal manner, the normal manner would mean I brief you and then lock you up in a cell on your own." The sargeant cocks his head as though asking Greg if that is what he wants. "Now as for your generous offer to help with the girl, thankyou but no thankyou. You have been arrested on suspicion of a terrorist act and until the detectives say otherwise you are a suspect and not supposed to talk to anyone else, wether in a medical capacity or otherwise. I will inform the Police Doctor of your concerns right away. Now if you'll excuse me." The Sargeant turns away from Jacob and Greg and then glancing at his clipboard. "Mr Clayton Kelly, Miss Elizabeth Penhaligon, can you both make yourself known to the constables." The Sargeant indicates two constables standing at the end of the row of chairs.
OOC: Jacob,I think someone perhaps Greg's player ImpInTraining has already asked a similar question. The problem is you only know she is in one of four rooms, along a short dead end corridor at the far end of the lounge. This corridor has a police constable at the end and the sargeants desk is right next to his post. So you'll need a more deliberate plan than just wandering in and the consequencces of being caught for a solicitor would be disastrous - actually they'd be pretty bad for anyone.
OOC: Greg,If Greg gives the matter some thought, then he realises he was displaying some symptoms when he was arrested by the police and these symptoms were already lessening by the time he got to the lounge.

Greg shrugged to the sergeant, "As you wish. Just trying to be helpful, and it is actually against my Hippocratic oath to sit by and let people be ill around me without trying to do something to help them." That was stretching that a bit, Greg knew. But he was hoping the sergeant didn't know any better. "I would like to have an opportunity to make a phone call sometime within the next couple hours please. I have some people who need to know I won't be on my flight. No big rush... it's a long flight."

He turned about and started back for his seat, speaking quietly to Jacob with his back to the police, "I think the experience with the girl had some bizarre after-effects, but my fear of these being some sort of symptoms of an illness is waning. For the life of me, I can't think of a natural cause for these symptoms." He shook his head slowly, "I feel we may never know the whole story here. And perhaps it's for the best. Just sit down, relax, and try not to be seen as a 'problem' or things could be much worse for us. I don't know how things are here in England, but in the US, they can almost do anything they want under the justification that they thought we were terrorists with no fear of reprisal."

The doctor found his seat and sat down, looking around to see if everyone was starting to feel better... and he was happy to see they were. The problem seemed to be fixing itself quite nicely with no help from him.

Getting no conversation from Liz, the tall dark haired woman who had been so vocal when she's been brought in by the mystery girl looked over at Greg and gave him a sympathetic smile. "Don't worry dearie, likely they're just panicking because this little girl gets onto the plane without anyone stopping her. They can bluster all they like, and they can make life very difficult I'm sure but in the end what are they going to do?" She shrugs. Now did I hear correctly, did you say you were a doctor?

"Thank you," says Liz. "Since you managed to get yourself released, I'm even more certain you're the right person for the job. I'd better explain everything from the beginning. I just got back from my hols in Paris and I was really exhausted. Somehow I got lost and ended up in the Departures area. I saw a Costa Coffee nearby, sat down, and bought a cup of tea. I also took out my laptop and went online to update my status. At around a quarter to nine, I felt a tug on my sleeve and looked over. That's when I saw the girl. I'd never seen her before. I looked into her eyes, and it was like they were burning. Then I can't remember what happened for the next few minutes, but I think I can piece it together from the CCTV footage they showed me.

"Interestingly, the video went black at precisely the same time my memory cuts out. There's a phenomenon called 'missing time' that is similar to what we all seem to have experienced. Sometimes people have reported that a block of time is just cut out, and they have no memory of it. At the same time, clocks stopped and electronics went haywire. It's been associated with UFOs and alien abductions, but personally I think some sort of electromagnetic interference is a more likely explanation. Our nervous systems are electrical, so it's possible that the same thing that affected us could have affected the cameras. I can only speculate about this, though. Dehydration isn't normally associated with missing time. I can see it happening if you're missing hours, but not for just a few minutes.

"I'm not sure how much time is missing from the video, but it resumed well before my memory does. When it did, it showed me talking to the girl. I nodded and bent down to get my bags, and the girl knelt down too. Then we both stood up and walked out of range of the camera, leaving my bags and computer behind. At some point she must have nicked my passport, because they found it on her. I certainly wouldn't have given it to her. I didn't even know it was gone until they showed it to me. Then they showed footage from a different camera at the passport desk. The girl and I walked up to the desk, and when she talked to the man there this camera went black for a bit too. I think she must have done the same thing to him that she did to me. When the image came back, she looked around before walking through the checkpoint to board the plane she was found on. I just remained motionless there for a couple of minutes before rubbing my eyes while the police were coming. I don't know how she got past the desk with my passport. She doesn't really look like me, but somehow she must have convinced the guard that she was me. She must have also had a boarding pass to get on the plane.

"When I came to, the man at the desk had his hands up. He pointed at me and accused me of trying to go through, saying that he stopped me. The video proves that I didn't, though, and the coppers didn't believe him either. They told me to turn around and put up my hands with my palms out, which I did. There were four policemen behind me, all holding guns. The eldest man then searched me, which was highly improper. What, they couldn't radio for a policewoman and hold little unarmed me at bay until she got there? Worse still, I'm only barely eighteen. For all he knew, I could have been a couple of months younger. He didn't even ask if I was a minor. When he was done, he told me he didn't think I was a threat and that I could either come along and help them with their enquiries or he could arrest me under the 2006 Terrorism Act. I went along, which I would have done anyway even without the threat. They did arrest the Border Control Officer at the desk, who kept insisting that he didn't do anything and that he stopped me from going through.

"Later I was taken back to the interview room where there were two detectives, White and Allen. They started recording the interview and stated the date and time. They asked me to identify myself, which I did. Then Detective White said that I understand that I have been arrested on suspicion of activities preparatory to a terrorist act, namely smuggling the girl onto the airplane. He explained my rights to me and asked me to talk them through my day up to the point where I met the girl. I pointed out that I hadn't been arrested, that I was helping them with their enquiries and that it was the Border Control Officer they had arrested. Then I told them about my day up to the point where I met the girl, just like I told you.

"They seemed surprised that I hadn't been arrested and halted the interview, stopping the recording. Detective White asked me to wait just one moment, which turned out to be a few minutes. He came back after fetching the constable who had brought me in and had the constable arrest me and read me my rights. First they tell me I can come along or else they'll arrest me. I come along and they arrest me anyway! That's not cricket. Detective White says they're arresting me as a formality and that they wouldn't bother if they hadn't found my passport on the girl and the CCTV footage hadn't shown us together. Then he asked if I wanted to see the footage, and he showed it to me without waiting for an answer. I asked why there were bits missing, but they ignored the question. I told them I'd cooperated with them fully and came there to help, and that arresting me may be a formality to them, but it wasn't to me. Then I said while we were being formal, I was formally asking for a solicitor, which I had the right to do since they'd gone and arrested me. They halted the interview again and Detective White stomped out to get a constable to take me back.

"Then Detective Allen told me that they were only arresting me to keep from getting their arses sued off, which didn't make sense to me. He said that he tends to think that people who ask for solicitors have something to hide, but that he doesn't think I do. He said the worst anyone could say about me was that I'd been gullible and let a gypsy girl nick my passport, but that if I got a solicitor in then he's not going to let me tell them anything and that they need as much information as possible about the case because the people who did this would need solicitors. That's when he showed me photos they'd taken of the girl. They were awful. She had these burn scars and tattoos in this bizarre pattern all over her body, with glyphs and runes in. The patterns looked vaguely familiar, but the symbols and glyphs didn't look like any traditional occult markings to me. Some of the scars and marks were old, but some were fresh and still oozing over older markings, so whoever had done this to her had done over a long period of time.

"I told the detective that I wanted to help and that's why I'd come here, and that it seemed to me that arresting someone without cause would make them more likely to sue, not less. I also said that if I'd wanted to sue I'd have plenty of cause already, what with the improper search and the denial of medical treatment for our symptoms. The search would be on that video, so he must have seen it - unless that bit got blacked out too. But I don't think so, that only seemed to happen when the girl was around, and she was gone by then. They stopped the video right before the part where I was searched. He insisted that it was procedure to arrest me and it's a lot easier for someone to build a case against them if they don't follow it - which they hadn't done anyway. He brushed off my complaints about our ill treatment and said that I could sue, but he guaranteed the case would be thrown out of court. I told him that I didn't say I was going to sue, merely that there would be plenty of reasons, that other people were more upset than I was and one of them happened to be a solicitor, and that if he really wanted to avoid a lawsuit he should tell his colleagues to treat us properly. I also told him that the tattoos looked a bit familiar but I couldn't place them, and I offered to help with the problems with their cameras since I know a bit about them and a lot about computers. I asked again why there were bits missing, and if there was a fault or the video was edited. He said he couldn't discuss the CCTV evidence with me and that they wouldn't be using my help, but he thanked me for the offer. He said he was sorry our feathers had been ruffled, but that they had to use the full extent of their powers in investigating a possible terrorist incident."

Clayton heads back for the room they were all waiting in when the constable steps in front of him, "You're not allowed back in there."

Clayton was kind of taken aback. "What? Well I need to go back in there. The detectives said I could, I left my drink and other stuff in there, my lawyer is in there, uh, uh, uh..." The constable stops Clayton right there. "Stop embarrassing yourself and just leave now lad."

Clayton lowers his head at how badly he did trying to persuade the constable and goes outside and waits at the exit for any of the others to come out.

Miss Penhaligon, this talk was off the record. I was released as well but I'm still a suspect as all of you since I was interacting with the girl in a manner I do not remember like you. The police and the state won't allow me to represent you but I promise you that I will help you, me and some others over here to clear their names with other methods.

Jacob replies confidently and adds

Now I have personal interest in the case, it seems that both of us were not the only ones suffering from the same symptom. I suspect that everyone here, including the doctor I spoke to earlier, do not recall the events that followed their strange interaction with the girl.

He leans over and whisper

We should leave. There are too many prying eyes over here. I would like to have your cell-phone number. I already have the doctor's number. Maybe we can help each other to clean the accusations and I already have some ideas such as finding similar cases of blackened and maybe some information about the girl and the tattoos your spoke about. I haven't seen them my self but I'll be happy to see a sketch of the glyphs you seen.

He hands her his business card and intends to walk over and hand one for Greg as well.

"I haven't actually been released yet," says Liz, taking the card. "I'm sure they're going to want to finish the interview once I get a solicitor. I didn't tell them yet that I can't remember what happened with the girl, as we didn't quite get to that bit before they halted it. They won't give me back my mobile until they let me go, but I'll give you my number and email addy." She rattles them off. "I'll try to draw what I saw from memory later. Thank you for your help. It's too bad you can't represent me, but do you have any colleagues that you'd recommend?"

Jacob hands Liz the firm name so she would be able to use their services.
"Ask for David Bluemental, tell him Jacob sent you, goodluck"

With that Jacob goes to Dr. Greg, apologies before the police doctor that examines him and hands Greg his card.
"We should speak, there are matters of concern, contact me as soon as you are released"

OOC:,Jacob: What is Jacob going to do now? Go home, try and arrange another flight, waite in the departures for the others, Go back to his office...something else?
As Liz finishes talking she notices a young man standing patiently off to the side. "Excuse me Miss Penhaligon, my name is Roger Parry, I'm the duty solicitor. Detective Sargeant Allen suggested you wanted to see a solictor before you went any further. Am I correct in thinking you've already arranged legal representation? There's no problem if you want to waite for your own solicitor, but if your case is anything like the others ,I can probably have you out of here in about ten minutes."

ooc,Jacob's plan is to go home and notify his hosts in Israel that he canceled his flight due to some emergency private things that came up. Trying to arrange a second flight out of the UK is not a wise thing for someone who is a suspect. He will stay in London, maintain a low profile and think what to do next. I guess that he will try the numbers of Liz and Greg in the evening and for now will try to recall or google the internet about past events like this "Terrorist girl" ; "blackout memories with a girl" and such.

OOC: Jacob,Jacob will go to home again home again. I'll post to this thread later. However can we have a spot hidden as he leaves the lounge. If he succeeds he spots Clayton watching the lounge doorway from the comfort of a Coffee house - if Jacob decides to approach him or visa versa go to Watching the detectives

"Yes, thank you," Liz says to Roger Parry. "Ten minutes is a lot faster than the solicitor I was going to call could get here from London, and I gather my case is very much like the others. As long as I can still get my own solicitor later, I'd be glad to have your help." She fills him in on what she told Jacob.

Roger Parry listens intently to Liz, asks her the occassional question but seems happy with her version of events. "OK I'll have to tell them I'm acting on your behalf at the moment, most people normally go for their familly solicitor at a later date, especially if it goes to court, which I'm pretty confident this wont. I'll have to look at the CCTV footage but if what you say is true then I don't think we'll have any problems. Between you and me I think someone higher up had a bit of a panic attack when the girl walked through security and straight onto a plane and they came down all heavy handed, its only been a couple of years since the little boy from the midlands did almost exactly the same thing at Gatwick

Roger dissapears to talk with the Detectives and returns fifteen minutes later with a smile on his face "OK Liz you've been released without bail so you're free to go. I did agree with the detectives that you would make yourself for questioning. All this means is if the police want to question you again, its at your convenience and at a location of your choosing. I assume thats OK"
OOC: Liz,Assuming Liz is happy with the arrangements, she signs some paperwork, has her belongings returned to her and may leave the lounge - she's not escorted out but is clearly not expected to hang around. When she leaves please make a Spot Hidden to see Clayton and Jacob. However, if no one sees one another or decides not to approach she should go here and awaite events

"Yes, that will do nicely," says Liz, smiling back. "Thank you so much, Mr. Parry. Good day to you." She signs the necessary papers, collects her belongings, and is about to head out when she catches sight of Clayton and Jacob. She walks over to them. "Hullo, gents."

Turning from Liz, Robert Parry walks back to where Greg is sitting. "Dr Hammer, my name is Roger Parry, I'm the duty solicitor. I understand your waiting for your own appointed solicitor. Look the police told me you've been vocal in expressing yourself and if want to do something other than simply get out of here this this morning then you're probably better of waiting for him, but if your case is anything like the others, I can probably have you out of here in about ten minutes."

"Mr. Parry," Greg said standing and shaking the hand of the man, "I do appreciate your offer. But I've already missed my flight - and I've literally nothing better to do now than to make these guys have a most miserable time for inconveniencing me." He smiled and crossed his arms across his chest, "I believe I'll just wait."

"Alright Dr Hammer its entirely your choice, but I hope your solicitor isn't coming very far, its the height of rush hour traffic outside so unless he's coming by public transport he's not going to be here anythime soon" With that Mr Parry heads off to his next client.

About an hour later Mr Trust the solcitor you selected from the Embassy's list of recomended solicitors turns up. After listening to Greg's story he believes he can get Greg out in a reasonably short time."Although the Karen at the embassy led me to believe you had some other complaints is that so? Listen, If you are going to try and make a case about wrongful arrest, poor medical care, or anything else about your current treatment by the police, then I strongly advise you to not to do so at this time. Waite until you're out of here and then make a complaint or complaints to the Independent Police Complaints Commission, otherwise I can guarrantee well be here for hours and even if you have nothing better to do with your day, I'm supposed to be in court at midday"
"

OOC:,If Greg simply to get out he should make a Spot Hidden as he leaves. If successful he'll see the others at the Coffee bar if he fails then go to home again and awaite events.

Greg nodded to Mr. Trust, "Yes, of course. It is not my intent to inconvenience you, naturally. But there were concerns I have about their general procedure on handling what could have been a biological or chemical weapon. I know there is nothing I can do here about that, and I do have some contacts that can point me in the right direction. As for the rough treatment in the bathroom... I can probably overlook that. Let's just get me out of here. I'd like to know what they suspect me of since there is a portion of my memory missing."
ooc,I have Jacob's card, was going to call him once I was done and had my cell phone back.

Its not so much an inconvenience as we're simply better off complaining elsewhere and I''d have to get one of my colleagues in to represent you thus causing further delays for you. However, lets not worry about that, I'll get the paperwork sorted and we'll have you out of here in a jiffy.
OOC:,Fine it takes ten minutes for the paperwork to be cleared, as soon as you have your mobile you can ring Jacob here.
