Don't look at me, I'm not a burglar.
Jacob says
If I will go, there is a good chance light will turn on.

Don't look at me says Clay I'm not a cat burglar.... So now we've all declined to have a go, shall we find another way in? Or just bugger off home?

"We're not giving up," says Liz. "Let me see if I can access and disable those security lights remotely first." She takes out her laptop and scans for wireless networks.

Liz finds half a dozen wireless networks, none of which would indicate they belongs to the house.

OOC,Does this mean that I'm sure that none of the wireless networks are associated with the house, or is that still a possibility? Also, you never said whether the rear window where I saw the man was on the right as viewed from the front of the house or from the back.

ooc: Transformers ... yeah, they're those garbage-can looking things. They house electrical connections and are really easy to short out. Just got to talk a suicidal squirrel up into it.

OOC: Liz,Liz can't say anything definitive about the WiFi setups she can see appart from none seem to be security related appart from a wifi enabled baby monitor which doesn't seem related. If she wants she can spend the time hacking them individually and checking networks for PC's and looking at web logs etc, but it will take some time. The bedroom is right/rear when looking from the front of the house.
OOC: Transformers,None in sight there may be one somewhere on the street, but its not visible from the rear of the house. NB some (cheaper) burglar alarms are triggered when power is cut.

"We should wait a while for them to fall asleep anyway," whispers Liz. "While we're doing that, I've found six wireless networks nearby. I'm going to look through them and see if any of them are associated with the house. Even if the security lights are inaccessible, I may learn something useful." She begins to penetrate the wireless networks with a talent that is coming easier to her with practice.

OOC LIz,After 20 minutes Liz has done 4 of the 6 available wireless networks, only two of which had active PC's on their networks neither of which seemed likely candidates.

"I've gone through most of them." says Liz. "Only two of them are hooked up to computers, but neither of them looks like it's from this house. Let me check the other two next." She proceeds with the remaining networks while the others do whatever it is they're doing.

If none of us can break into the house unnoticed, maybe we can approach innocently and ask to come inside somehow.
Jacob suggests.
Many American horror movies begin with innocent travelers that get stuck or someone who wants to sell something from door to door.
We need to cover our face with something or lower our face to the ground in a way hidden cameras will not be able to catch our faces.

Greg responded to Jacob, "Well, it won't be either of us. Chances are, that old man is in there and he'd reckognize us on sight."
ooc,Did you say there were rubbish cans associated with this house nearby that we might be able to poke about to see if we can determine there might be a woman inside?

OOC: Bins,Yes there are wheelie bins, but they are over by the security light.
OOC: Liz,Liz takes another ten minutes to check out the other two wireless networks to no avail.
"They weren't to pleased to see Liz and Greg when they tried to visit the shop. I can't imagine they will be any more thrilled by visitors trying to see inside their home" says Clay

"True," says Liz, "and we don't want to wake them up if we can help it. We're running out of options here. If none of these networks are for this house, and it looks like they're not, then someone is going to have to go disable the security light before we can proceed." She scans the contents of the two active PCs for any clues as to their owners' names.

PC names,One is for RAZORBOI someone with a serious habit for World of Warcraft and online porn. The Other seems an inocuous home PC. Neither PC gives any indication its related to the people you are looking for.

Liz disconnects, powers down her laptop, and puts it away. "Looks like a dead end," she says. "One of the connected computers probably belongs to a teenage kid, and the other to someone normal. We'll have to do this the old fashioned way in meatspace, then. Who wants to try to kill the light?"

I'll do it.
Jacob replies shortly
OOC,OK what do I need to do?

Greg moves with Jacob until they are up against the corner of the house and hands him a pair of old pliers. "All you have to do is Sneak along the wall without the light's detector or whatever it is switching it on. Then snip the wires with these. I suggest if the light comes on you just run over and snip the wires anyway and keep close to the wall."

Greg says to Liz, "What can you do about just wacking the whole area - kill all the networks, then we know if these guys have one, they're not going to be using it. The rest of them will just have to live without their porn."

"I don't think they do have one," says Liz. "I've already scanned them all. It's tougher to knock out these networks than it is to get inside them, but even if I can pull it off, it's not likely to achieve anything."
