The line of guests, headed by Shaosu, disappear into the night across the paddy fields. Li follows in the footsteps of the others, only Arashi and Tatsuo remain.

Tatsuo takes his turn and sinks deep in the mud, another step, and his fat calf disappears in the gumbo: he is stuck. Li turns round and sees Tatsuo's predicament. He scoffs, and mutters something in Chinese. He continues walking away, and says in English:

"Too bad, fat man."


Arashi scowls at Li and for a moment has a difficult time deciding between helping her son and climbing over him to wring the life from the whore's [barman!] throat. After careful deliberation and with deep regret, she choose her son over her vengeance.

Arashi hisses at Li as he leaves them behind.

You will die for this!!!

She undoes her kimono, her wrinkled naked flesh flashing about her in the wind and the rain. Arashi removes her belt and throws one end to Tatsuo in hope of pulling her son free of the mud.

Tastuo moans with tired frustration.

They are stood on a track that runs alongside the stream. From the south, coming towards Tatsuo and his naked mother, are several moving spots of gold: men, holding flashlights, are approaching.

[DSIGFUSS]

Arashi pulls on the belt as hard as her frail bones will allow, grunting with the stress of the situation. Tatsuo tries to flop on his side to spread out the weight of his fat through the mud. He too pulls as much as he is able to without sending his mother hurling into the stream.

OCC,- Is there any sign of Tatsuo freeing himself?

[ooc: Yes, Tatsuo is unstuck, thanks to mum.]

The track continues to the north . . . there is the water mill . . . next to the water wheel is a mill pond . . . Tatsuo has 30 seconds to choose or he will encounter whoever is coming up the track from the south.

[DSIGFUSS]

Tatsuo holds a thick fingered hand to his eyes and squints thoughtfully at the approaching lights. With renewed determination, the sumo lifts his mother into the air and heads for the Mill as fast as he is able. He huffs and puffs as he charges forward, his only concern was to stay ahead of the lights.

ooc,- Tatsuo plans to find a way around the pond and catch up to the others as quickly as he can. If he cannot find his way back to them or gets stuck in the marshes he will attempt to swim across the pond with his mother in tow. He is fearful that he will make too much noise swimming and therefore will take to the water only as a last resort. Is there any indication which way the others went? I'll throw down some rolls for yah just for fun. No need to use any of them tho. I rolled awesome tho.
