Re: OOC Chat
Hey gang,
we're booking long hours in the field to finish our dig before the weather shifts, so I'll be a bit slow on the reply.

Re: OOC Chat
ok, no problem, what are you digging ?
Re: OOC Chat
If you're an archaeologist, that would be cool!; or are you an engineer, digging the foundations to a latrine?

Re: OOC Chat
I'm an archaeologist.
We're digging in the coastal area of Flanders, studying a system of dikes used to terraform the coastal marshes into arable land.

Re: OOC Chat
I'm not English, I'm just uncommonly eloquent
Wait, forgot I wasn't In Character there...
I'm Belgian, which goes a great way of explaining my presence in Flanders. My real specialilisation is the Near East, but it was a lot easier to find a paying archaeological job over here, than it was over there. I'm applying for a PhD in cuneiform studies at the moment and I if I'm granted that, it'll back to the desert for me. Hooray!
As for interesting finds, I'm afraid I must disappoint. We haven't found anything shocking yet, but we're nearing an area we suspect to hold a medieval moated farmstead. If we find it, I'll let you know.

Your English is excellent, Mr. Rawson!
Cuneiform Tablets, Ancient Sumer, Ziggurats--my 7th grade history.
Please, report any interesting finds from the dig.

Re: OOC Chat
Much obliged!
The most interesting thing to report from the dig is the fact that we didn't manage to stay ahead of the weather.
10" of snow makes it rather hard to do archaeology...what I wouldn't give for a sandstorm right about now.
And Tabs, that about sums it up

Quoting Tabs as Miss Gelert:
I was drinking a whiskey while reading it and my nasal ducts are on fire!
Brilliant!she struggles to conjure up an inoffensive name for the Egyptian police--"those natives have no right to treat an Englishman like this .

Has Garrett put in an appearance lately or do we need someone to run Aswald for a bit ?

Re: OOC Chat
Garrett has pulled out of the 'Spawn of Azathoth' game because he has too much going on - I we can assume the same might apply to this as well, until we hear differently.
