The game uses pregens to a certain degree. You may pick one of the characters and tweak it a bit.
So far we have two character spots filled. It has just begun so the read up is minimal.

Sit back and relax as the haul of bits and pieces is finished.

Walther is a man who knows everything and the thing he is most aware of
is his warehouse. He listens to everything that is said and
trying to be friends with everyone. He loves rumors and love and talk about what
he has heard. Sometimes he manages to get hold of whiskey, cigars, wine, and sometimes
little Champagne which he sells slightly overpriced to his comrades on the
station and also to people from other stations when they come to the base to
get something. Walther has a background as a criminal in East Germany before he
managed to escape across the Iron Curtain. This is something he is trying to
keep a secret because people would lose confidence in him, should they know.

Robert is a fun guy, he has a distinct Australian accent and, almost always
a big smile on his face. He is a database big party animal, and often goes around with
a beer in his hand. He does not look too serious about life and he takes it pretty
quiet. If someone asks him to do something, you can expect it to take a
little while before he starts with it.

Read after having read the log!,[b]Arthur[/b], at the moment suffers mild hypothermia in his face (cheeks, nose and chin) but has lost only 3 temporary HP. Those will be regained after three hours in a heated environment. The gush on his left cheek is, however 2 HP that need treatment. When we get started on the 22 I´ll ask for a first aid check from the doctor. [b]Arthur[/b] is unconscious when we start the game and about the get carried on a gurney to the second floor of station 10 to get a bed in the infirmary.

I should be able to tweak my character this weekend, but it's not likely that I'll have time before. I still have plenty of catching up to do, as I'm so far behind in other games. Since we're not starting for over a week anyway, I don't think it'll be a problem.

That´s right, nor hurry. Still a bunch of things to move from the other site.

I am not too young to have seen the film when it first came out but I cannot recall having seen it. Right, film added to my dvd rental list.
