The Zero Room - OOC Chat Thread

1985, Dunwich, England: Will the Time Lord, his companions, and a team from UNIT uncover the secrets that this decaying town harbors, or will they fall prey to its horrific perils?

This is Classic Doctor Who meets Call of Cthulhu, the third of a series of connected adventures set in different eras and locations that started with The Terror Out of Time and The Ninth Planet.

Welcome AirborneXO! Can't wait to see your character!
The other children cheered him on. His name voiced in a steadily rising pace, urging him to do it. “Am I really doing this?”, the young boy thought and struck his victim with a rock.

Hi, sorry I haven't finished my character yet. My home life got rather hectic. My husband got a transplant a few weeks ago, and is in the hospital (doing better and now cured of diabetes), so I've travelling a lot. I'll get to it, though :)

I'm glad he's doing better! Take your time. The next phase of the game won't start for a while yet, as I'm still finishing up with some of the characters.

Hi all,

First off I must apologise for leaving the site so abruptly, but as we all know real life and health issues get in the way of this fantastic hobby of ours.

It is with a heavy heart and much soul searching that I have to announce that I have to shelve all the participation in the games I am in, unfortunately the games I am running as well, (however poorly of late). The duration of this 'shelving' is indeterminate at present.

I apologise for all and any inconvenience this has caused fellow gamers. The people on here are a first rate bunch and I am proud to have been associated with them, and hope that I will be allowed back into the fold again in the future.

Take care of yourself, and you'll always be welcome back. I'll wait a few days before moving your games to the Graveyard, and I can always bring them back once you return and are ready to pick them up again. Valerie Soames doesn't have to do much at the moment, so I can NPC her for now. Is it all right if I allow another player to take her over?

Mr Handy - feel free to move the games over at your leisure. I don't foresee myself returning to the site to game for a some time so NPC-ing Valerie Soames is not an issue for me.

I'll still drop in and keep an eye on the place though if that's alright.

Of course! If you're ready to return at that time, you'd be welcome to join the next scenario in this campaign, which will be a Cthulhu Invictus one set in the late Roman Republic. I'll open Valerie up to be taken over by a new player.

Welcome to Vladd, who will be playing Peter Rock! Vladd, your thread is here, and you may post when ready. Have fun!

Please note that you may only read In Character threads if your character is in them, and you may not read any of the others until the adventure is over (with the exception of Introduction in Episode 1, which is optional for everyone to read).

I see you have givoen Rock his old military rank, as he has left the army and joined Five isn't he now a civilian civil servant?
Just a quick hello to everyone and to say I look forward to Peter Rock's adventure with you all.

Once he's with UNIT, they'd probably give him his old rank back to fit him into the command structure, but I'll leave it up to you whether they've done that or he's a civilian consultant.

Dr Gordon Baxter is still outside the Laboratory waiting to be let in, should/can I just obey my curiosity and enter the room?

I was waiting for a PC in one of the other threads to answer the door, but the player hasn't posted in some time. I'll go ahead and NPC the character soon, but I don't have time to do that tonight (it will require creating a new thread and closing off the two existing ones).

No rush!
To be honest I was more concerned that I’d done something wrong and/or not understood the protocol with changing gaming ‘rooms’
Thanks Mr Handy.
