Story reaches across the console to activate the external viewing monitor. "Something just doesn't feel right." Turns to look at the monitor. "One last look..."

Elizabeth sees Story activate the monitor and turns to see what it reveals.

So long as no one knew what the device was all about, Lucius felt he'd just keep hold of it. He didn't know what good it was, but in a pinch, maybe throwing it in a fire or smashing it with a hammer might provide a method for getting out of a pinch. He put the object back in his pocket (if it was small enough, or just held it if it was too big) and walked over to view the monitor as well.

Lucius slipped the small alien device into his pocket.

Story and his companions watched as the panel covering the scanner slid away, revealing a view of the astrophysics lab. Everything looked just as it had before, but then the door to the corridor opened and seven Mi-Go entered. Two of them carried the strange tubular clusters, and the other five held the small black knob-like devices.

OOC,Everyone except [b]Lucius[/b], please roll Sanity. [b]Lucius[/b] has already lost the maximum for seeing Mi-Go and is used to them. Sanity loss is 0/1d6. If you lose 5 or more, you must roll Idea. If you succeed at the Idea roll, you will go temporarily insane.

Elizabeth views the scene grimly. "Story, we need to get out of here, fast!" she says urgently.

"I Cant get over just how hideous those things are," Lucius remarked, his eyes glued to the screen. "Its a pity though... Perhaps under different circumstances, this could have been much more peaceful of a first contact."

Looking to Story, the Roman asked, "I don't suppose we could find the crew before they left on this mission to warn them about these creatures?"

Story looks away from the Mi-Go towards Lucius "Unfortunately it doesn't work that way my friend...it would cause bigger problems than the Mi-Go." Turning his attention to the console he flips a switch and pokes a few buttons finally engaging the de-materialization circuit. "And. We're. Off!"

The Mi-Go on the monitor approached the TARDIS as the central rotor began to rise and fall, producing the sound that was now familiar to them all. The image on the monitor faded to black as the ship began its voyage through the time-space vortex.

Brook finally realized just how frightening the Mi-Go were, but she managed to keep her fears under control. Story had brought them through another adventure alive and well, just like he did every time, just like he always would...wouldn't he?

OOC,Your part in the adventure is over, but feel free to continue roleplaying and interacting. It's up to the others now to finish things out. At this point the four of you may now read all of the threads in this adventure, including the stuff in spoiler buttons, and you may follow along as the conclusion plays out.
