Re: Stumbling Tiger Bar (OOC)
OK, I've finished writing up D.L. "Rhino" Williams. Here are some brief thoughts regarding how Rhino would know the other characters (who've so far posted). Mr. Handy and Slenderman, feel free to add your comments and help me to make this reasonable.
Amy Lawrence: Rhino met Amy on the Columbia University campus as he was walking towards the ballfield. Rhino is a gregarious individual, so he immediately started a conversation with Amy by asking about what classes she was taking, and where she was staying, and that led to a fair bit of laughing about personal foibles and life in general. Rhino asked Amy to come see him play in his game that day; he didn't perform very well that day, but he uses that day's events to good-naturedly denigrate himself. He gave Amy a scuffed baseball from the game. They hit it off fairly well and they became friends (Rhino can tell that Amy is not interested in dating him because she told him that she was "in a relationship"(?)). He later learned of their mutual friendship with Elias and that cemented their interest in staying in touch.
Otis Wolfe: Otis and Rhino have a fair amount in common including a love of sports and serving in the Army. They met when each was visiting with Elias Jackson and were quick to engage in sports conversations and competitions, and swapping stories about their tours in the Army. Occasionally they work out together, going on morning jogs through the streets of NYC. Rhino respects Otis' determination and athleticism, and also his attention to learning, although Rhino is less interested in books.

Hi, I'm back. I will write a character soon and post it.

Re: Stumbling Tiger Bar (OOC)
Amy isn't exactly in a relationship, so she probably would have said "there's someone else" instead, without going into detail. Other than that, it looks fine to me.

Re: Stumbling Tiger Bar (OOC)
The telegram from Elias is up. Sorry about it. I just couldn't produce a nice looking telegram on my IPAD at work. Will try and get a proper one made when I am home.
Re: Stumbling Tiger Bar (OOC)
Woohoo! Looking forward to getting started. I take it I need to wait until I'm introduced.

Re: Stumbling Tiger Bar (OOC)
Since Amy is doing her graduate studies at Bernard College it would be easy for her to take some classes at Columbia. That way she should know Winston as you both are friends of Jackson.Mr. Handy wrote:Woohoo! Looking forward to getting started. I take it I need to wait until I'm introduced.
Re: Stumbling Tiger Bar (OOC)
Actually, Amy graduated from Barnard last year and is doing her graduate studies at Columbia (unless of course that's historically inaccurate, but I believe most universities had female graduate students in the 1920s even if they weren't coed for undergrads). She's probably attended some of Winston Brody's lectures.

Re: Stumbling Tiger Bar (OOC)
Hopefully in the next few days I can offer up some thoughts, much like Job did above for his own character, on how Winston may be acquainted to the other characters. My early thoughts include the following:
- D.L. "Rhino" Williams should not be difficult, considering Winston's interest in baseball. As well, if he has played some games on campus, it is likely Winston has seen him play and may have had an opportunity to meet him.
- George Rutledge should also be an easy character for Winston to connect to, considering George's knowledge of tribesmen from all over the world and his assistance in writing Jackson's "Masters of the Black Arts," a book Winston owns and that would have certainly acknowledged George's contribution in the foreword. In fact, Winston may have been recommended to George either through Jackson or his editor when doing his own research on primitive tribes of North America.
- Otis Wolfe is a little trickier and I'm still working on ideas. However, if he is associated with "Rhino", I may have met him through that character.
Anyways, as mentioned, I hope to offer some suggestions in the coming days.

Re: Stumbling Tiger Bar (OOC)
I am just about to put up a post that will bring the other three chapters together. Then we can work from there.
I have also posted a couple of videos in the Clue thread that give a general story of the Carlyle expedition.
Enjoy
