Place your character sheets here so that you can edit them just as I can (as I'm a Moderator). I'll then take a look at your math and advise if anything's missing or needs to be changed.
Is it bad that I listen to this about ten times a day?

Oh, also, check out my new blog on roleplaying and running games: http://stwildonroleplaying.blogspot.com/

Background: Irene Carpenter is a tall, pretty girl with black hair and a positive attitude. She is always smiling, even when times are tough (which they are now more than ever), and she tries to cheer up others whenever she can. She was born in 1922 to Stanley and Meredith Carpenter. She has an older brother Oliver, who is 21 and was studying to be a doctor when the war broke out. Oliver immediately joined up and was commissioned a second lieutenant. His skills led to him being assigned as a battlefield medic. She also has a younger brother, Joshua, who is 15 and was evacuated to the countryside. However, Irene insisted on staying in London to help out however she could. Stanley is a carpenter from a long line of them (hence the name). He served in the Great War, and he joined up again when this war started. He is a combat engineer. Meredith joined the Women's Land Army.

Irene joined the WVS in late 1939 and is working as an ambulance driver. She has always loved cars and has a natural talent with them. Her driving skills, combined with her keen night vision and her excellent sense of direction, make her ideally suited for her job.

Background: William Cray is the son of a groundskeeper, George Cray, on the estate of Lord Albert Gavreth in Aylesbury. His mother, Penelope, died giving birth to his sister, Mary. He grew up on the estate assisting his father as an assistant groundskeeper, with his sister working as a scullery maid. For the first sixteen years of his life he assisted his father, played in the woods near the estate, and befriended the young heir Lonon Gavreth. His friendship with the heir was encouraged by Lord Gavreth, who realized his son had isolated himself from other noble families.

In this way, William received an education, as he was allowed to sit in on Lonon's tutelage sessions. William became particularly interested in the geology and history of the region and spent many days traipsing around the vast estate, poking into the earth and bothering people with obscure questions. When he was seventeen years of age, William's sister died of poliomyelitis at fifteen. William spiraled into a depression that lasted until the mobilization to war was called in 1939.

William immediately enlisted and was assigned to the 1st Battalion, Loyal Regiment, which was attached to the 2nd Infantry Brigade under Brigadier Charles Edward Hudson. William's Regiment was part of the British Expeditionary Force and participated in the attempted defense of France in 1939-1940. William comported himself well during these years, becoming known as a crack shot with a rifle and advancing to the rank of Sergeant. Unfortunately, during the evacuation of Dunkirk, an artillery shell landed too close to his position while he was providing covering fire for his retreating platoon and the resulting shrapnel removed his left leg from below the knee. His Second Lieutenant, Perry Boscough, managed to tourniquet his wound and removed him to a medical tent at Dunkirk port in time to save him. He was discharged from the army with honors and given a small stipend.

William now spends his days drinking too much and complaining about how much he could be of help at the Front. He manages to cop most of his drinks off of sob stories regarding "his mates what never came back". On the night of the scenario raid, William is limping back to his small flat after being rejected by several women at The Hensley Arms. He's a bit tipsy.

Description: John is 6'3", broad shouldered and slim. He seems a bit shorter as he walks with a stoop, trying to make himself less obvious. His long face is very gloomy and un-inviting.
Background: John Brooks is an athletic and capable electrical engineer. At school,he was a keen sportsman and won a scholarship to Hampton school. He did well at boxing, swimming and became interested in Electrical Enginnering. He apprenticed with Southern Railways and then worked with London Underground.
His house was one of the first caught in the Blitz; he lost he whole family and came away scarred both physically and mentally. He has thrown himself at his work, not only doing essential electrical work around London but also as a munitions worker in Waltham. He has become very interested in explosives and he has recently come to the notice of the Navy. They have promoted him and he will be moving to Lowestoft to work on the new magnetic mines and minesweepers.
John is quiet and suffers bouts of depression, only by working can he keep the demons at bay and the intricacies of the electric circuit are all that motivates him; even over lunch he will be fiddling with one of the new 'circuit boards'.

Background:
Florence is a nurse originally from Norfolk but now working and living in London. She was intelligent at school, but unable to go on to university, and trained as a nurse instead, following a family tradition. Plain, almost ugly to be truthful, she is also somewhat clumsy and not very strong. But she is highly bright, and devoted to her job and helping patients, at which she is both experienced and competent. At the moment she works alongside ambulance drivers in wartime London. Florence is unmarried, never too successful at romance, and focuses on her work instead now. As a young girl Florence spent a lot of time combing the beaches and seashore around Cromer, and developed interests in natural history and related skills, as well as skills such as climbing and jumping developed from spending so much time out and about in the countryside exploring.

Background: Rev Rupert Trevelyan is a tall, though rather portly, middle-aged man. He is outwardly jolly and positive, though can be a shrewd judge of character. He was born into a religious middle-class family in Winchester. His father was a solicitor, and his older brother soon joined the family business. Rupert performed well at school and decided to enter religious service like his uncle Alfred. Following his years of theological study he moved to a parish in Bournemouth, where he met and married his wife Valerie, from London. At the outbreak of the Great War he volunteered as a Chaplain and served on the western front with a Dorset regiment, which had a profound impact on his life. In the late ‘20s, Valerie wished to closer to her aging parents in Tooting. They moved to nearby Streatham Hill, where Rupert took up an opening at the local Christ Church. He is a keen cyclist, and enjoys his weekly rides to his friend the vicar at St Philip’s, Norbury. At the outbreak of the war in ‘39, he again volunteered for chaplaincy, but was turned down due to his age. He now does all he can for the local community in these hard times.
