Ms. Ashallin's Lounge [OOC Chat]

There are things that exist outside the range of human perceptions; things known only to those terrible beings who dwell between the stars and beneath the earth. We have always passed by them without notice. They have always extended us the same courtesy. And those unfortunate few who have seen, and have been seen? We call them mad.

But they have merely awakened a higher form of sight.

It is the Spring of 1928 in Arkham. And people all over Southside are waking up, setting the stage for the rise of an ancient power.

Ms. Ashallin's Lounge [OOC Chat]

Post by Kadael »

A general thread for out-of-character chit-chat and discussion. Whether game-related or not, the conversation can be steered in any direction.

I am waiting for a bus and it is raining. Will post more later!
I'm a smooth criminal and a neurotic lawyer with a crush on a pretty-boy author, and I'm being controlled by my creepy older brother (twice!) while I worry about not having a can opener.

It's always exciting to start a new game. :)

So, we are citizens of Arkham's Southside and can play whoever we can imagine?

You definitely don't have to be a resident of Southside - anywhere in Arkham is good. So yes, you can play just about anybody. :)

Are we allowed to read each other's threads, or just our own?

I'll be away at a convention, leaving mid-afternoon on July 4 and returning the night of July 8 (though I might not be able to post until the night of July 9).

This will definitely be continued as soon as we can get a few replacement players!

Official Update on the State of the Game

It's been a week since I sent messages to the players, and only royya and Mr. Handy have given any sort of response. The way I see it, we have a few options here:

1) Aggressively recruit new players to take over old characters

2) Aggressively recruit new players to join at all and try to ease new characters into the adventure somehow

3) Since we aren't far at all into the game, start it over and recruit new players. You guys can keep your old characters but you may experience some déjà vu.

Both of you have been Keepers so I'd be especially glad to hear your thoughts.

I'd be okay with any of those options. I think the important thing is to recruit the new players. Then you can offer them the choice of taking over existing characters or creating new ones. If they opt for new ones, option 3 would make more sense than option 2.

All right. I'm on board and awaiting a character. Happy to do whatever reading is necessary.
Is it bad that I listen to this about ten times a day?

Happier Update on the State of the Game

Now that Captain Impossible has returned, and Laraqua and Dr. West have joined us, we have enough players. I will NPC Jean unless or until someone new picks her up.

In a Different Light officially resumes tomorrow. 8-)
