Nils is the older Sorensen brother, tall with pale Norwegian skin and fin hair that grows down past his shoulders. He is known for his extraordinary economy with words.

Like his older brother Nils, Gunnar is pale with nearly white hair, but the brothers' personalities could not be more opposite. Gunnary is happy and companionable, contrasting with Nils' coldness.
