Karin Bauer,[b]Sofia[/b] seemed very well adjusted, and it was a good sign that she wanted to come out of her shell. Her tone of voice was very admiring when she spoke of [b]Captain Juliette Desjardins[/b], which wasn't unusual. A lot of people regarded the dashing pilot as a hero.

OOC,I'm assuming an advanced base like this would have video everywhere and from my computer control I should be able to access it all. Let me know if that is wrong.

Sofia Torres,The door to the storage room was open, and [b]Sofia[/b] could see four strangers standing in the doorway and peering out into the corridor, all of them wearing unusual clothing. There were two men, one older and one younger, and the other two were a young woman and a teenage girl. [b]Sofia[/b] brought up the camera showing the interior of the stoarge room on another monitor. The plastic storage crates all appeared to still be sealed, though there was something else in the room with them: a large blue box about two meters tall and one meter square.

Sofia,[color=#0040FF]"Sergeant Kohl, this is Private Torres. I can confirm 4 intruders in tertiary storage. Repeat 4 intruders. None appear to be armed." [/color]and then [color=#0040FF]"Colonel Patel, this is Private Torres reporting. Did you get that report to the Security officer?"[/color]

Sofia,looks back in the storage unit trying to figure out how they got in, and why the heck did they bring a big blue box with them.

Sofia Torres,"Private," replied the stern voice of [b]Colonel Indira Patel[/b], "I realize that this is an unusual situation, but try to remember the chain of command. You report to [b]Lt. Hu[/b], he reports to [b]Major Orlova[/b], and she reports to me. I am aware of the alert, as is everyone. Now if you'll excuse me, I have much to do." She cut off the transmission. [b]Sofia[/b] watched on the monitor as the young man started to head off down the corridor to the right. After the others said something to him, he turned back and they all entered the storage room. The girl sat down and leaned against the blue box, the young woman sat next to her, and the older man apparently began cleaning it with his sleeve.

Karin Bauer,"Security is on its way to Tertiary Storage, Captain," replied [b]Colonel Indira Patel[/b]'s stern voice. "Remain at your station, and be prepared in the event of casualties."

Sofia Torres,[b]Sofia[/b] had noticed earlier out of the corner of her eye that the young man had hidden a dagger in his boot before heading back into the storage room. She also caught a glimpse of some white lettering on the top of the blue box. It read: POLICE PUBLIC CALL BOX. Suddenly, the images of both the storage room and the corridor outside went black.

Sofia,[b]Sofia [/b]promptly checks the networks to see if we are still getting a signal. Are the camera's out? Did we lose the feed or what? She then gets on the comm unit, [color=#0040FF]"Lt. Hu, I have lost visual on the tertiary storage. Before I did so, I saw one of the male intruders put something in his boot. It could be a knife or other weapon. And on the box they brought with them had the word Police on it. I'll keep trying to regain visual."[/color]

OOC,[b]Sofia[/b], please roll Electronics. Invisible Castle is having problems, so you may use another dice roller or physical dice, or you may have me roll for you.

ooc,I have no dice and IC is down so would you roll for me. Electronics = 66. BTW, did it go static like the wire was cut, or just black? Is there still sound? was there sound originally?

OOC,There's no static, it just went black. There wasn't sound originally, and there still isn't. Electronics roll: 25 out of 66 - Success.

Sofia Torres,[b]Sofia[/b] was quickly able to determine that there was nothing wrong with the cameras. What must have happened was that the lights had been turned off where the cameras were located.

ooc,doh hahaha, that is good, wasn't expecting that.

Sofia,After realizing her equipment is good [b]Sofia [/b]sits back to enjoy the rest of the show.

Sofia Torres,Suddenly, a burst of light illuminated the image of the storage room on the monitor, showing the blue box and the four strangers, who were clustered around it. The light was visible on the monitor showing the corridor outside the storage room as well, and on it she could see [b]Private Robert MacCrimmon[/b] standing in the open doorway and holding a flashlight, which he pointed into the storage compartment.

ooc,been out of town camping all weekend I'll get back into things tomorrow.

Sofia Torres,[b]Sofia[/b] watched as the older man, the woman, and the girl got down on the floor and raised their hands, while the younger man scrabbled desperately at a pair of doors set into the blue box before kicking them and turning around. [b]Sergeant Kohl[/b] and [b]Private Silver[/b] entered behind [b]Private MacCrimmon[/b], and everyone began talking. [b]MacCrimmon[/b] went over to the woman and handcuffed her. "Send the last recorded video to the monitor in the lab," instructed [b]Lt. Hu[/b] on the comm.

Sofia,[color=#0000FF]"Yes sir,"[/color] [b]Sofia [/b]replied to Lt. Hu. Sofia backed up the video to try and figure out how the intruders got into the storage room and how they got the police box in there. She will then make a copy from 2 mins before that point until now.

Sofia Torres,When [b]Sofia[/b] rewound the footage to a point a couple of minutes before the alarm went off, she could see that the blue box wasn't there at all. Then it gradually faded into view from nowhere. Shortly after that, the doors opened and the four strangers emerged from the box, the older man closing the doors behind him. They tried to open the door to the corridor, but nothing happened. The lockplate wouldn't respond to their hands if they didn't have implants like the base crew. Then the older man took out a long, thin device of some kind and pointed it at the lockplate. It was at that point that the door had slid open and the alarm had gone off. On the monitor showing what was currently happening in the storage room, she could see the younger man remove the knife from his boot and place it on the ground, where [b]Sergeant Kohl[/b] picked it up. As they started handcuffing the other intruders, the lights in the storage module came back on.

Sofia,After picking her chin off the ground [b]Sofia [/b]starting copying the file. [color=#0000FF]"Lt Hu you need to look at this footage right away, you are not going to believe this."[/color]

Sofia Torres,[b]Sofia[/b] watched [b]Sergeant Kohl[/b] lead the way out of the storage room, followed by the four intruders, and then [b]MacCrimmon[/b] and [b]Silver[/b]. They walked around the corridor and into the airlock leading back to the central module.

Sofia,So much is running through [b]Sofia[/b]'s mind. What was this thing? [color=#0040FF]"Lt. Hu, have you had a chance to view the first couple minutes of the video I sent. I'd like permission to study the police box."[/color]

Karin Bauer,[b]Karin[/b] left her medical lab, pressing her hand against the lockplate beside the door so that it would read her implant and open automatically for her. The airlock leading to the central module was directly opposite her lab, and she opened it the same way. There was no need to adjust the pressure, as the tunnels between modules also had atmospheres. She passed through the tunnel and then the airlock at the other end. Once entering the module, she progressed straight ahead and then around the inner circle to her right. The door to the conference center was on the right, and she entered and proceeded to the cafeteria. Nobody else was there.

Sofia Torres,"Yes, yes, have a look," replied [b]Lt. Hu[/b]. "I may just join you shortly."

Sofia,After seeing what it did, and the young man not being able to get into it. [b]Sofia [/b]packs some analysis tools, and some good old fashioned tools as well. She has every intention of getting into that box. Once she has what she thinks she might need, she puts it in a tool bag and heads for the Tertiary storage. [b]Sofia [/b]looks at the mechanical tools and frowns. She is going to need some help. [color=#0000FF]"Lt Hu, I'd like to get Private Bond to help out if he can. I may need him to help me get into this thing."[/color] Then to Private Bond.[color=#0000FF] "Bond, you there, this is Torres. I could use some help in Tertiary Storage if you have some time. I'm on my way down there now."[/color] With that [b]Sofia [/b]grabs her portable radio and heads out.

Karin,Karin strides over to the food depository and punches the required buttons to receive the regular browny-green slop that passes for breakfast. As she munches it down she wonders at the lack of other personnel. Once finished,she deposits the plate for cleaning and heads across the corridor to the communications centre. Hopefully the lieutenant has some idea of what is going on. At the door she presses the intercom. [i]"Lt Rose, this is Capt. Bauer. May I request entry?" [/i] ooc: Sorry if I get the military protocol wrong at any stage.

Sofia Torres,"Private, this is [b]Major Orlova[/b]," replied the chief scientist. "We're one step ahead of you. I've already ordered [b]Private Bond[/b] to join us." A second later, another call came through. "This is [b]Lt. Barrett[/b]," said the geologist. "[b]Private Bond[/b] is already on his way. He's just leaving now."

Karin Bauer,There was no response. Belatedly, [b]Karin[/b] realized that [b]Captain Desjardins[/b] was currently out on patrol, and thus [b]Lt. Rose[/b] would be in Ground Control. She moved a quarter circle around the corridor and tried again at that door. [spoiler]Don't worry, you're doing fine. I'll need to wait to give [b]Colleen[/b]'s player a chance to post a reply at this point.[/spoiler]

Sofia,[color=#0000FF]"Glad to hear we're all on the same page. On my way." [/color]

Karin Bauer,"One moment, [b]Captain Bauer[/b]," muttered [b]Colleen Rose[/b] from the intercom.
