Howdy

Post by coffeedemon »

Hey all!

I used to play here many moons ago. What a trip to see some familiar names here.

I just PM'ed Carnage Lee asking to put up a new game for me. Is he still the one to ask?

(Hey Raiko! Looks like your Masks game is going strong! Brings back memories...)

Welcome back, coffeedemon! You'd be welcome to play in either or both of my games. Carnage can set up games if he's not too busy, as can Raiko, but usually I'm the one who does it. You can just post the details in I'm Thinking of Running a Game...

I've brought back Zombie Apocalypse, a long-running game that petered out after more than a decade after the players all drifted away. I rebooted it, starting over from the beginning. It's modern non-Mythos survival horror, though it has its own similar mythology. You can find the recruitment thread here and the game here. You haven't missed too much, and it shouldn't be too hard to catch up with what's already happened.

I'm also running a scenario I call The Horror in the Blackout, set in London in September 1940. This is the fifth scenario in my Doctor Who/Call of Cthulhu campaign, but you don't need to know anything about Doctor Who or the first four adventures to play. If you do want to read the first four adventures, you can find them in the Hall of Fame via the links in my signature. The recruitment thread for The Horror in the Blackout is here, and the forum for it is here. The game started some time ago, so there's some catching up to do. There are a lot of players in it already, but I think I can squeeze in another if you're willing to take over an abandoned character.

Hi Handy,

Thanks for the invite!

At the moment I have limited bandwidth so I want to start small - don't really want to play, I just want to run a game.

At the start, I just want to have two players (already recruited) in the game. As time goes on, more players could come in.

I'll send you a PM with details if you could hook me up!

Hi Welcome back!
I've just read your PM and I'll set up a game (well, I'll try - it's been a long time since I've done that!).

Well, I think I've added the new game board correctly, fingers crossed. I've also moved first game into the same container, it's locked but you should be able to look at the old posts and get the Investigator Sheets.

You're welcome! I see that Lee has already set up the board for you. The original King of Chicago game is still accessible when it's in the Graveyard, you just can only see it when you're logged in to the site.

If you do allow more players to join your game, I'd be very interested. I remember when it started up on Dark and Moody, and I'd wanted to join it then, but it never got to the point where I could. My character in Eternal Lies, Dr. Holly Chastain, was originally a character concept I had in mind for the King of Chicago sequel, which started in an insane asylum in 1939 where the survivors of the original game had been committed.

I don’t see King of Chicago in the graveyard... I hope it hasn’t been lost? Handy, take a look - do you see it? If so, maybe the permissions are incorrect? I’m logged in using the same name I used as Keeper, and I’ve scoured the forums for it.
