Hello,

I just joined the board (forum?) and hope to soon be participating in one or two of the games here. I enjoy the Call of Cthulhu mythos, but I have never had the opportunity to play before so I am really looking forward to it.

I am having issues with the "Spoiler-Button" and "Dice"/"Dice=", so if anyone has a minute to explain how or when to use each I would appreciate it.

Both games I am looking at are "Trail of Cthulhu" (which at first I thought was Western themed Cthulhu, not just a different system) and I only have the quick-start rules, so any tips and tricks would be appreciated, as well as any "what not to do", especially if you can provide actual examples of the horrific or tragic demise of an investigator that happened because of their (or your) mistake(s).

Carnage_lee put together a very helpful thread on just that subject here.

Though the dice roller seems to only occasionally work for me too....
