In the security office-
Jerry Law sat at the security desk, finishing his breakfast, while Kyle Rogers did the same in one of the holding cells. Jerry had taken the morning shift watching him and had brought food for both of them from the cafeteria. The previous day had been a nightmare, and his chilling encounter with those two FBI agents, if that's what they really were, still affected him. They had murdered John Lee in cold blood without leaving a mark, and they would have killed him too if Amelia Delacroix hadn't come by and saved him. And they were still out there somewhere.

"Can I get out of here yet?" asked Kyle.

-No, you can't. I'l see that some police get you.
And then in a low voice:
-I mean a real police, not some weird creature

In the security office-
"Weird creature?!" said Kyle, who apparently didn't know about the incident with the FBI agents. "Are you saying there's some weird creature that masquerades as a cop?"

In the security office-
"You're not exactly filling me with confidence," muttered Kyle. "You couldn't protect me earlier, what makes you think you can do it now? And what are these creatures, anyway. What was weird about them?"

In the security office-
Kyle muttered profanity under his breath. "We're screwed," he moaned. "We're all screwed! The dead were bad enough, but we don't have a chance now. They could be anybody!"

In the security office-
"Safe?!" spluttered Kyle. "Don't you get it, man? Those things must be behind everything that's happening! They don't just want me dead, they want us all dead!"

In the security office-
"They did send some weird weapon - those walking corpses!" said Kyle. "Almost beating them isn't good enough. They're still out there, and if they can kill by thought nobody is safe."

Dr. Helene Saunders poked her head in the doorway. "Jerry?" she said. "The cops and a few civilians have gone off to try to find out what happened to the other group that went out yesterday to track Erica down. When they come back, they said they'd take Kyle off our hands. Almost everyone else is getting ready to evacuate on the bus. I'll be staying behind to make sure the EMP device keeps running. When the cops return, we'll bring it to the police station. Did you want to stay here or get on the bus? If you want to go, we've got someone to replace you on guard duty."

OOC: Sorry, only now I saw this. Can Jerry go to the bus?

Jerry goes to the bus.
-Well, seems it's time to say goodbye. Just think in what you have done.
Jerry leaves.

In the lobby-
Jerry made his way through the north hall and out the back door, while Alvin and Murray went into the security office.

In the security office-
Alvin and Murray entered the office, where Kyle Rogers was in his cell.

Field Trip

In the security office-
Alvin settled down in the chair and watched Kyle in his detention cell. Over ten minutes later, there was a mild earth tremor, but nothing else of note happened for a while after that. Then there was another one almost an hour later. Ten minutes after that, the ground began to shake again, and this time it lasted longer.

OOC,[b]Alvin[/b], please roll Listen.

In the security office-
Alvin looked around wildly as he heard something digging its way up from beneath. "Sappers!" he cried, taking cover behind the desk. "The gooks are tunneling beneath us! Can't you hear it?"

Murray heard it too and began barking furiously, tugging at Alvin's pants leg.

"You're both crazy!" said Kyle Rogers. "I can't hear a damn thing!"

"Your friends aren't going to bust you out, Charlie," Alvin sneered. "They'd have to get past me, and I won't let 'em!"

"Who the hell is Charlie? My name's Kyle."

"Just shut your Viet Cong mouth!"

Five more minutes passed in silence before there was a loud explosion, this time from somewhere above, followed by several gunshots.

"Oh, God, we're all gonna die!" cried Kyle. "We gotta get out of here!"

"Nice try, Charlie," said Alvin. "You ain't goin' nowhere!" He gripped his knife. "Man, where's my rifle?!"

Murray sniffed the air and grabbed Alvin's pants leg in his mouth again, growling and trying to pull him towards the door. A loud crash and shouts came from far away, behind the building.

Alvin Drummond/Murray,"We're ditching this place!" shouted a man. "Hop in guys!! [b]Jerome[/b], my man. Get your ass down here, we're leavin'!"

"Looks like we gotta evac," said Alvin, cursing under his breath. He took the keys and unlocked the cell door to let Kyle out. "No funny stuff, Charlie. Let's go!"

"It's about time," muttered Kyle, walking into the lobby at knifepoint, ahead of Alvin and Murray.
