I'm doing fine. Well versed at play-by-post ... this isn't nearly as confusing as having two separate groups in two separate areas talking about two separate situations.

I'm fine with it the way it is. It's only the situation that's confusing, but then again it's supposed to be. I know how difficult it can be as a Keeper to have multiple threads describing the same situation from different perspectives (the start of Space Oddity was like that). Keeping them in sync is a nightmare, especially when players are interacting with other PCs, as people will be acting independently before they are aware of what those in the other threads are doing (since they're not allowed to read them). It's better to just keep us in the same thread when we're in the same location.

Gents, just an aside but I will do my utmost to only ask for skill roles when success would not otherwise be automatic. On this basis if I ask for a skill check and you are successful, then you can automatically mark the skill on your chracter sheet for an experience check at a later date.

We'll do experience checks between chapters, or where there is a clear period in the story when characters might reflect on their past deeds.

Sounds great. Not confusing at all, I like whats going on so far. And since I think I've failed every check so far, no need to mark anything. ;)

What about Jacob's personal bag - does he have it with him or not ?

I'm thinking my extra clothes, shoes, and bathroom stuff is in my luggage, over France somewhere. But all of my important stuff would have been in my carry-on. I'm sure the police confiscated those for thorough examination. Hope you didn't have any sex toys in there...

I checked before the police got me and everything was already gone.

Jacob doesn't have his personal bag on him. The police may or may not have it.

I gather my laptop and suitcase aren't here, but do I still have my smartphone and camera?

No one has a phone or mobile device, nor will they have cameras. These items are may hold evidence to the planning of a terrorist act and have been (signed for and) removed. Your hand luggage is layed out on the floor in the far corner and several trolleys with suitcases and the like have passed through the lounge to points elsewhere which would imply the police have removed luggage from planes where necessary.

How thoughtful. I shall remember to send them a Christmas card from jail.

Just trying to get into character. ;) I figured that's how he would act. Been around too many kids. Hahaha. Glad you liked it.

I've heard so many of those kids this past week, what with all the riots.

Their logic is um....

Gents,

On the basis that forewarned is forearmed there will be a short intermission from tomorrow afternoon (18 Aug, GMT) until Sunday evening as I'll be off walking the Thames path for a bit of a break.

Wow walk into a police interview and the first thing you yanks do is lawyer up. Interrestingly not one of the GB playtesters felt they needed a solicitor until after they'd seen the CCTV footage. Not sure what that says for the US legal system or the poorly placed trust of my British countrymen. :)
