"I'm with you there Liz," Greg continues to monitor his 3 patients now that we've come to a stop, checking pulse rate, breathing, bandages etc... to make sure the ride didn't worsen anyone's condition. "I'd kill for a coffee. Can someone make a coffee run, it's right there?" he asks.

"Prolly best we don't draw attention to ourselves," says Liz. She assists Greg with the wounded. "Nurse Liz reporting for duty, Doctor."

Andy looks around, "The 'coast looks clear' for now at least, I think we could all do with some warm food ... how long till the ferry is due to leave?

Alex looks back at Andy I think maybe thirty minutes, but it depends sometimes earlier sometimes later. I go and get us drinks and food. Alex gets out and walks over to the old man setting out his coffee stall returning with coffees for and a brown paper bag with hot bread rolls for everyone. In the next 15 minutes two road weary German bikers ride up on muddy looking BMW's, a full mini bus from across the border and a truck also from somewhere in Kosovo pull up but the hard standing is not the busy place it was at when you arrived.

Liz,first aid please - this is not for the purpose of healing, its a non-professional assessment of the two patients

Liz has a very good idea of the states Clay and Albert are in and how best to treat them.

Liz,There is nothing first aid can do for either man, of the two Albert is clearly in the worst state he looks far worse than he did on the mountain side, Clay looks terrible but while his breathing is shallow and his pulse fast it doesn't seem to be getting any worse.
An olive drab Trabant pulls onto the hard standing a family young husband and wife and three boys they pull up along side the landrover, the boys spilling out to play an impromptu game of football, the ferry lets out a loud whistle as it slips away from the bank and starts to manoeuvre towards the loading ramp. Sitting on the bonnet of the car having one of the local cigarettes the young father finally notices the landrover his face visibly goes pale and he calls his family over, loads them in the car turns it around and drives off.

"I got a bad feeling about this guys," Greg pipes in. "I hate to say this, but the word is out around town. It's only a matter of time, until they find us here."
Greg reloads his pistol to be on the safe side.

"We might want to spread out till the ferry gets here, or be the rude tourists and not let anyone else on the ferry."

"We need to focus on Albert," says Liz. "He's getting worse, and he needs to get to hospital fast. Clay is at least stable. Hmm...if word really has gotten out about us, maybe the others won't even want to be on the same ferry. That last lot sure didn't."

OOC:   Greg is clearly focusing on Albert but it's clear he's frustrated by his inability to do anything more for him, Liz doesn't think it's anything to do with lack of skill its more the fact Albert needs to be in a proper burns clinic.

"On the other hand, maybe news didn't spread," says Liz. "Could just be there's bullet holes in the Land Rover or something."

"The evidence are not on our side"
Jacob says as he inserts a finger into one of the bullet holes in the car.
"We need to dump the car later."

"I do not think he was looking at the Landrover" says Alex it was only when he looked at us that he got worried.

While you discuss the matter there is a reasonably steady flow of new arrivals buses cars bikes as well as a couple of small trucks (the ferry isn't big enough for arctic type trucks) The ferry finally lays up at the edge of the hard standing and the loading ramp drops with a crash and with a lot of shouting and gesticulating the process of loading starts.
OOC:   Are you just going to drive on?

"Are we sure we want to take the ferry then?" asks Liz. "If something goes wrong, we'll be sitting ducks out there on the water."

"Maybe we would.. but we'd be 'sitting ducks' surrounded by water ans somehow that's a comforting thought." Andy says alluding to the 'fire pillars'. "Trouble is we'd be sitting ducks once we get to the other side of the lake.. if anyone phones ahead then it'd be easy to roll out a 'welcome' party for us.", Andy finishes his coffee, crushing the paper cup, "What other options do we have?"
Spoiler:
I guess we would need to at least 'black out' the side windows to hide the wounded from view - Andy will change his trousers too and everyone can get a quick wash.

The ferry starts loading and the landrover roll onto the ferry deck parking up very close to the front so you know you will be off the ferry reasonably fast ( second row of vehicles) the car deck rapidly starts to fill with vehicles and just as quickly with passangers as everyone hurries to get a seat in the bar/restaurant.

"Would we be drawing more attention to ourselves by going to the restaurant, or by staying here?" Liz wonders aloud. "Anyway, we can't leave Albert and Clay unattended."

The number of passengers on the car deck is rapidly thinning out, so it won't be hard to leave without anybody looking into the back of the landrover and seeing the injured. On a typical car ferry, they probably wouldn't let you stay on the car deck but it's questionable whether the Albanian crew are overly concerned by such safety considerations.

Andy surreptitiously checks the action of his pistol before placing it in his jacket pocket. Then he grabs some binoculars and exits the 4x4, rather gingerly. "I'm going to have a quick recce." he holds up the field-glasses "See id I can see if anyone followed us down off the mountain."
OOC:   Andy will loiter by the loading ramp trying to spot anything of concern, once under-way he'll use the binoculars to scan the shore to see if anyone arrives late.
