Sorry I've been slacking lately. Would have been nice to head over to the professor's house with Greg, but my loss I'm sure. Crap ... doesn't seem like I'm at either place. Oh well, let's say Greg ran to get medical supplies - a make-shift triage kit in the event something bad happened. You can tell me where to slide in next.

BTW - I haven't lost interest in the game, it's just hard to find the time to sit down for RP.

Hi Imp if you want to be at the prof's house that is fine by me. Perhaps you were out in the garden looking at the contents of the skips while Jacob went inside.

Skips are large metal containers for transporting rubbish, typically found on building sites.

Hey Ben just wanted to make sure you're ok with the way Albert is non-plussed by your intimidation efforts.

Albert is a cocky, arrogant man who has a little bit of 'short man syndrome'. He has spent most of his professional life around musicians and 'A' list rock-stars and some of that egotistical attitude has rubbed off on him. He also has met many many bouncers, security guards and personal bodyguards to the stars so is not really intimated by 'hired muscle'. He saw a boy trying to be man when you threatened him.

That's not to say that he wasn't aware that he might get hit - his experience is that if he acts ballsy and brazenly with a bit chutzpah then he can normally get away with whatever he's trying to do. As far he is concerned - he got you so riled up that your anger made you swing wildly and miss him. He's received his fair share of black eyes and bruised ribs over the years.

I was just try to play him in character - and if you'd connected with that punch he more than deserved it!

No it doesn't bother me. I personally thought it was not very beleavable though. I can see someone act that way around other people in a bar or something, but alone, in a basement. Eh not so much. I can see someone being cocky, but name calling I thought was just asking for a death sentence. If your guy was an NPC I would have just knocked him out and tied him up. After breaking a couple bones.

So I think things played out differently because we were both PC's. And If you are planning to try and join the group, you've got one guy that doesn't like you very much, is a gang member, and while it may not be real nice, I'll play my character the way I think he would behave if this is real life and this was going on now.

Now if you wrote your guy up to be a total jerk who doesn't mind pissing off people that work close to him, then you nailed it. ;) I'm not going to start trying to tell people how to play their characters. Thats up to them. But be fair warned, I've played a lot of Paranoia also, and killing off other PC's is no big deal.

To get back to your question, No I didn't mind it at all, other than it didn't strike me as being realistic. I hope that makes sense. But I'm a grown man, you could knock my character down and blow his jewels off with shotgun and it wouldn't really bother me. If I came across as being pissed, it is only because that was what I wanted it to come across as. I even tried to throw in a bit of humor in game, of him being so mad he couldn't get his words out, as a way to show you I wasn't mad only my character. I actually really enjoyed it.

Hope you're having a good time.

That's cool - I think we're both singing from the same song sheet.

My raison d'etre of believability is that he's always been a small person and he learnt from a young age that the best way to deal with bullies is to stand up to them - bullies thrive on weakness, show them strength and they normally go and pick on someone else. So the environment meant nothing - he may well have been shitting a brick but as long as he showed you that he wasn't cowed by you then he had emasculated you in that situation - your threats were worthless. It was fun and to be honest, I had a draft post written expecting you to have sparked my lights out!

Maybe our characters will eventually have a grudging respect for each other but at the moment I just think your nothing more than a little thug and you think I'm a jumped up little shit. It will be fun if Mr Hill/we can engineer a situation where you and I have to work together for the common good - that'd be worth buying tickets for :)
