Andy raises the assault rifle to his shoulder and snaps off a shot aimed a t taking out a headlight. The loud report of his rifle is replaces by the smashing of glass as his shot strikes home and takes out the lights on the drivers side.

Tracking the approaching lights Liz pulls the trigger om the shotgun, realising as she does so that she isn't really 100% just where Andy and Greg are. The sound of the shotgun in the confines of the Landrover is absolutely deafening and Liz.

"<untranslatable> what the fucking hell woman, I wanna be hearing til I am too fucking old. Stop shooting or go take that fucking bird gun closer to the bad guys, but good luck cos be telling others I am not sticking around!!"

Outside, it is clear to Andy and Greg the oncoming car is not going to stop but looks as though it is going to plough straight into the back of the Mercedes they are suing for cover.

OOC:   if Andy stopped hopping about for a moment Greg could probably apply first aid but otherwise no.

Greg grabs Albert by 1 hand and jumps to the side of the road with the shrine. His pistol ready. If he sees a bad guy beside the car, he will take a shot as they run to cover and out of the way of the oncoming car.

[Mr. Handy]

"What?! I can't hear a bloody thing!" says Liz, her ears still ringing, as she ducks back down to avoid any return fire and rolls the window up again. "Get in already, you two!" she says into the Bluetooth. "We need to get out of here!" Her voice is louder than it has to be, as she can barely hear herself.

With a deafening crunch, the approaching car ploughs into the stationary Mercedes. Apart from the sound of dripping fluids and the hiss of a cracked radiator the night is silent. At the side of the road Greg helps an increasingly woozy Andy to his feet

Liz scrunches all the way over to make room so that Greg and Andy can fit in the back. Fortunately, she and Greg don't take up much space.

Andy feels starts to feel disoriented as Greg pulls him to his feet, and shakes his head to try and shake off the fuzziness and instantly regrets doings so as sudden dizziness causes him to stumble but he hangs onto his rifle.

Taking a deep breath he takes faltering steps toward the waiting 4x4 glad of Greg's supporting arm. His wounded leg feels numb and cold, except for a flare of fiery, stabbing pain at each shambling step.

"You gotta stop this bleeding!" he gasps.

"The middle of the road isn't the place to do it. Now get in the car." Greg helps Andy up to the waiting door and pushes Andy in first and jumps in behind him.

Climbing into the back of the Landrover Andy and Greg find themselves having to crouch on gear in a vehicle designed to comfortably fit four holding eight two of whom are prone in the back.

Where now? says Alex and he pulls away. We have to go back to town but from there we have two options long way around the lake by road or head for the ferry if we keep speed up we may make the first ferry of day.

OOC:   Can I have a first aid roll followed by two medicine rolls from Greg please

"If we could make it onto the first ferry, that would be great," says Liz. "We need to put some distance between us and the Verbetoi fast, and it beats going the long way round."

"Hold still", Greg says as he tries to asses the injuries. Sure he had worked in all sorts of backwoods hospitals, but this may be the worst.

OOC:   Are poor Albert and Clay in the 4x4? Or have they been left behind?

OOC,They're with us (they're the two lying prone in the back).

Despite the cramped conditions Greg applies a dressing to backside and stops the bleeding, he then takes a few moments to assess his other patients

Greg,Clay may live he's lost a fair bit of blood but was stabilised at the campsite, as long as he's kept relatively stable he should recover. Albert, looks in a very bad way and needs treatment at a specialised burns clinic. Greg doubts Albert will live through the day without proper treatment.

Alex continues to drive. not taking his eyes off the road as he asks So we try and make the ferry? Everyone is happy with this I do?

"I am, but I can't speak for everyone else," says Liz.

"Yes, let's get the fuck out of here!" Andy says, feeling nauseous and cold.

"Don't stop till we are on the ferry. We need to get these 2 to a hospital asap." Greg says, trying to give a since of urgency without showing his worst fears.

Previously Alex has been a capable and safe driver but as the sun creeps over the mountains Alex drives down the mountain tracks like a madman throwing the landrover around like a rally car, for those who make poor passengers the drive is an absolute nightmare. The little town Bajram Curri. passes with a flash although Alex has to weave through his first bit of traffic.

Its another twenty minutes before the landrover pulls up on the concrete hard standing which makes up the landing point for the ferry. Outside, the surface of the lake is perfectly still. The steep hills on either side and the high mountains only just touched by the early morning sun. There are several trucks and a couple of beaten up box vans parked waiting for the ferry.country in all of Europe. The ferry is visible tied up a short distance down the lake. The hard standing is quiet apart from an old man pottering around by a small coffee stand.

Alex turns in his seat "Now we wait, and hope no one catch us"

"If only we had a flying car, we could just zip over the lake," says Liz. "Science fiction promised them to us. We bloody well ought to have them by now."
