Two teams from UBCS have penetrated a Hive complex belonging to Umbrella Corporation. UC has been using a city mall as false front for their operation.

A breach of protocol from two directors of a research branch set off a chain of events leading to a disaster at the mall.

UBCS has lost contact with their two teams, Alpha and Bravo.

Team Alpha is deep within the Hive.

Team Bravo is on the outer perimeter of entering the Hive proper. They have just now arrived from a rush away from the mall they set to detonate. The dust and debris from the explosion have settled and as of now they stand outside a subway platform leading to an entry to the Hive. From what it seems, the glass doors are locked and security cameras inside the lobby of the Hive follow the team members and civilians just outside. A sputter come from a speaker by the doors and a female voice echoes. "Inner perimeter has been breached. Preparing counter measures. All personnel go to your work stations. Await further instructions. Umbrella cares for you. Thank you for your cooperation.".... "Inner perimeter..."
