OOC,[b]Jack Brunner[/b] is right in front of you and can hear every word you say. I don't know if you want to say that in front of him.

OOC,He's working with [b]Donald[/b] and [b]Lucy[/b] to repair the bus in the rear parking lot. He never went inside.

[Mr. Handy]

In the rear parking lot-
"I gotta work on the bus," said Jack. "We can talk privately when we're done."

Donald Woodridge and Rachel Cohen,Both [b]Donald[/b] and [b]Rachel[/b] heard running footsteps moving very quickly into the north stairwell from further south inside the school. It sounded like only one person, but there were a few more people further behind who were running in the same direction.

The back door leading into the north stairwell was suddenly slammed open from the inside, though nobody emerged. The fire door began to slowly close again automatically.

Donald Woodridge and Rachel Cohen,The footsteps they had heard enter the stairwell were now racing upstairs.

"Something's going on," Donald said as he slid out from under the bus. "Someone's running from someone else." He looked at the door slowly closing, then looked for some place to hide behind, "Scatter out of sight, let's see what's going on." He moved into the dirty, old, forgotten bus and kept low, peeking out the available windows to see if anyone fell for the lure and exited through the door.

Rachel follows Donald into the bus, crouches, and peers over a seat out the bus window.

"You think someone is waiting for whoever exits through the door?--Zombies aren't that clever."

[ImpInTraining]

"No, I think someone was running from someone else and is trying to make them think she went outside. If her ruse worked, we should see someone exit here shortly, and look around for that person he was chasing," Donald explained in a hushed voice.

Rachel blushes--a faint rouge on her cheeks.

"Oh, I see."

[Mr. Handy]

In the parking lot-
Everyone else in the parking lot also moved behind the bus. The door swung shut before anyone else could emerge.

Donald Woodridge and Rachel Cohen,"That way!" called the voice of [b]Ann O'Neill[/b] from inside the school.

Donald waited a little longer and kept his ears out for other people moving up the stairwell.

Rachel whispers.

"Do you know who that is?"

[ImpInTraining]

"Ann O'Neal, she's a Fed," Donald responded. "Allegedly..." he added.

[Tabs]

Rachel nods.

"'Allegedly'?--sounds like you have a personal beef with law enforcement."

[ImpInTraining]

"Well," Donald said looking to Rachel, "let's face it. In this day and age with things as they are, anyone could pick up a federal ID and impersonate an officer. Not to mention..." he looked back toward the door, "Is there even a federal government anymore?"

[Tabs]

"Yeah, I suppose you're right. Now is the time when everyone needs private security." Rachel displays her 'CDC security' shoulder badge, and grins. "Looks like I'm in the right business."

"If there is no federal government, there can't be federal agents--I gotcha."

[Mr. Handy]

In the parking lot-
Sure enough, Donald and Rachel heard more footsteps running up the stairs. Also, the upstairs fire exit opened and John Lee stepped out onto the fire escape, looking desperate.

Donald had no reason not to trust John Lee... so he stepped out of the bus and called over to him, "What's going on in there?"

Rachel sits up in the bus--so that she isn't hiding--but doesn't exit it or talk to John Lee.

[Mr. Handy]

In the parking lot-
John Lee hesitated on the landing. Rashad Sadiq shoved open the door and joined him out there. Ann O'Neill and Miles Graham followed only seconds later, their guns drawn.

"Hold it right there!" shouted Ann.

Donald lifts his hands, unsure of who they're speaking to. "Is there something wrong?"
