Outside the armory-
"Like I said," said Dauterive, "it isn't my decision. Now let's get moving." Without waiting for a reply, he got into the front compartment of the APC.

Sally, with the help of Katarina, moved into the APC.

Zoe clambers into the APC.

Julie followed

In the Stryker-
Katarina also got into the rear compartment of the Stryker. The interior was a bit cramped, but there were nine seats, so at least there was enough room for everyone. Airman Wagner got inside last and closed the hatch behind her. Soon the APC started moving and pulled out.

"I can't imagine what you ladies have endured," said Wagner.

Katarina's eyes moistened. "It was hell," she said. "But we fight back and we win. Their leader, Mutt, kill his own man who help us. He almost get me and Sally, but I kill him with grenade. He never touch me again." She looked far fiercer at that moment than her physical appearance would otherwise indicate. "For months they have their way with me. At first I fight so hard, but all it do is get me hurt, so I stop. But I remember how when I need to." She put an arm around Sally. "I not just protect myself, I protect my friend Sally. They never touch her, and I make sure they never will. Now you see why we have to save Lara, Airman Wagner?"

She nodded. "Please, call me Carolyn." She shivered and hugged herself. "And those rapists have an ally on this base. That's what really frightens me. I don't know who to trust now. It could be anyone. I just wish I knew who to look out for."

"Yes. We have to be careful. I am certain I know who the traitor is, but I will only reveal the information to the highers up's here." Sally said.

In the Stryker-
"Please, can't you tell me who it is?" asked Carolyn. "I won't tell anyone else. I just need to know so I can keep myself safe." She closed her eyes. "Please. I don't want to be raped."

Zoe-

"You'll have to wait and see, Carolyn. ...You've got by--without any trouble--so far."

In the Stryker-
"Yes, but that was before all this happened," said Carolyn, opening her eyes. "Everything's changed now, don't you see? Whoever he is, he's going to be desperate. And when he finds out that you've come to the base and that you've talked to me - well, he may think you told me something whether you really did or not. There's no telling what he might do. If I don't know who he is, how can I stop him from silencing me?"

Zoe-

"Good point. However, we don't know you, Carolyn. Why should we trust you?"

In the Stryker-
"Well, what can i do to earn your trust?" asked Carolyn.

Zoe-

"Well...uh, I dunno. Something 'll come up."

In the Stryker-
"I just hope it comes up before something happens to me," said Carolyn.

Zoe-

"I hope so, too. If a man lays a hand upon you, or any of us girls, for that matter, he gets a grenade down his pants, ha-ha; no, seriously."

Julie said, "is there a hot meal up ahead? A place to sleep?"

In the Stryker-
"I'd imagine so," said Carolyn, "but I don't actually know where we're going. Nobody told me. The sergeant did say you'd get your chance to tell your story to the higher-ups, though."

OOC: WHo all in in the Striker?

"They didn't say eh?" Sally said getting concerned. "Can you radio the driver to find out what our destination is?"

OOC,[b]Sally[/b], [b]Zoe[/b], [b]Katarina[/b], [b]Julie[/b], and [b]Airman Carolyn Wagner[/b] are in the rear compartment of the Stryker. In the front compartment, [b]Staff Sergeant Dauterive[/b] is riding with the driver. The two compartments are completely separated; there is no way to get from one to the other without getting out of the vehicle. By the way, I think you misread the thread Prisoners. [b]Ron Moore[/b] is still alive, in case you don't see my post there.

In the Stryker-
Carolyn nodded and spoke into her hands-free radio: "Sergeant Dauterive, this is Airman Wagner. The women would like to know where we are headed. Over." She paused for several seconds. "Thank you, Sergeant. Wagner out." She addressed the women. "The Sergeant said we're heading for the Security Center so you can tell the officers there your story. ETA is two minutes."

"Security center, eh?" Sally said quietly as she thought. She leaned over to Katarina: "Be on your guard. If someone where to build that underground passage undetected and obscond with the gear, they would have to be associated with base security, right? Shit, they would most likely have to head up the security here."

Carolyn: "Do you work for the security team or know them well? Who is head of security?"

In the Stryker-
Katarina nodded and trembled slightly.

"I'm an MP," said Carolyn. "Military Police. The Security Forces are responsible for overall base security, but I've worked with them some. Their commanding officer is Lieutenant Colonel Darren Smedley. He's in his fifties and highly decorated, but I've never met him and don't really know anything about him."
