Epilogue

Post by Gaffer »

Delores is admitted to the hospital for observation, as is Marlene Hirt, who is dehydrated, malnourished, and emotionally upset. Dex's arm is treated and he is kept overnight. Alphonse Hirt undergoes surgery to repair his injuries and is hospitalized to recover.

Dex is released the following day.

Marlene is released when her vital signs stabilize.

Delores recovers her eyesight quickly and is discharged after a few days, as her blindness is psychological, but she is uncomfortable without dark glasses, even indoors. She also cannot stand being among the skyscrapers and canyon-like streets of Manhattan.

Marlene Hirt collects Alphonse from the hospital a week later and takes him to her apartment to recuperate.

The houses on Bay Street burn to the ground. Merivana is never seen again. The Moon-Tower cult disappears from the streets of Red Hook. Again.
"Two in the head, you know he's dead." <heh>
