"I don't think I can get any help from my precinct at all. Zann, the desk sergeant, would have to admit that he stepped in it with this 'Miss Hirt' business and that's not going to happen. I still know some people on the force in Red Hook. I can make some calls."

"Want me to take a look?" asks Delores, "I don't look like a cop or a PI."

[Dexter Ford]

Dex glances at Delores and nods his head. "That might make some sense. I can go and find you a suitable firearm in the morning, the detective can round up his companions, and Langdon can find out if there are any plans on the so called cult headquarters he can lay his hands on quickly. Then we can meet up at some point in the afternoon before the ceremony is supposed to take place and stop them once and for all."

[Gaffer]

[To clarify, it's just supposed to be a dance.]

Langdon gulps some of his drink, "I do have a pistol, an automatic, .32 caliber, I believe. And a very nice shotgun, for trap shooting mostly."

IC: Glancing at Langdon, then back at Delores. "Can you handle a shotgun instead, that is if Langdon is willing to loan it out for the occasion?"

OOC: A dance? Not sure I'm dressed properly - has Delores got time to nip home and change?

Langdon rises, dropping enough money on the table to cover the whole bill. "I'm going to grab a taxi home and get ready. Dex, can you pick me up tomorrow evening? I have to spend the whole day in the office tomorrow."

[OOC - Let me know what each of you will do during the day tomorrow.]

[Delores Brown]

"The office?" smiles Delores, "If we're going out, I need to look my best. I'll be in Macey's if anyone needs me."

[Dexter Ford]

Dex nods at Langdon. "Sure, I can get you tomorrow evening. Will six or so do? I have a bunch of paperwork to do at the office, and I do need to check in with my partner. If push comes to shove, I am sure I can get him to assist. In fact" looking at Detective Esposito "I'll make some calls to some contacts I have on the force and see if they can't give you a bit of assistance, detective."

Delores, do you need or want me to pick you up after I get Langdon?

[Gaffer]

"Then I'll say goodnight," says Langdon as he strolls away.

[Delores Brown]

"Please," replied Delores, "better than turning up on my own." She smiled, "Besides, I wouldn't want to get my new shoes wet."

[Dexter Ford]

Dex will get Delores' home address and phone number, and then call it a night.
"Delores do you need a ride home?"

If yes, he will drive her home. If not, he will drive himself back to his own flat for the evening.

[Gaffer]

[OOC - So, Langdon to his office and Dex to his? Esposito to try to round up some police assistance and Delores to Macy's and then to the book store?]
