OOC-Chapter 5-Dead of Night-General Discussion

As day gives way to night, time may be running out for the human race. Warren Air Force Base is still in human hands, but there is a crisis within and what's left of the world risks plunging into nuclear chaos. A small group of captive women hopes desperately to escape from their cruel captors, while another woman is undercover amongst them. Two park rangers at a station near Chimney Rock prepare to weather the night. In a convenience store south of Ogallala, tensions are high as employees, survivors, and criminals try to survive the night. In Omaha, scientists may have won humanity a reprieve, but at a high cost. The zombie outbreak appears to have ended there, but there are still dangers. Will Omaha be a bastion for survivors, or will it descend into anarchy?

Thanks, kabukiman! Computer games can be fun, but there's no substitute for a human Keeper who can react with new twists when players do unexpected things.

Ryansommer, is there some reason you've stopped posting for Sally and Keith?

At any point between now and Feb. 5th I could disappear for a day or two. My wife is scheduled to have our new son on the 5th but is currently ready to pop at any moment so she may not last that long. If she does go early then I will be gone for at least a day but possibly two before I get a chance to post again.

Handy,
Forgot to tell you. My grandmother passed away last week and I am here in Michigan for the funeral today through Sunday morning. So therefore I am not able to post. If you need to move the game along please post for my characters and I will be back as soon as I am able.
Thanks!

I meant Keith Deeds, a character in Gold who was introduced in Chapter 3. I hadn't intended to have two characters with the same first names (I had created the Chapter 4 characters for Omaha while Chapter 2 was still going on, then forgot about them), but it's not as confusing as if they were in the same section, at least.

I'm going to be at a convention this coming weekend, and I won't have Internet access (or time to get online, for that matter). After Wednesday night I won't be able to post again until at least Sunday night, and probably not until Monday night. This will also serve to notify those other Keepers whose games I'm in, as I believe all of them are playing in one or both of my games.

I haven't slept much in the last week and a half and I've been busy getting caught up. I'll be updating fully at some point over the next few days, so please be patient.

If anyone here is interested in joining Raiko's Masks of Nyarlathotep game, he's currently looking for players to take over abandoned characters. The New York chapter has already been completed, and the characters are in London now. It's a long, epic classic era game, and he's looking for dedicated players.

Yeah, I'd love to as long as it doesn't require a ton of back reading. If I could get a summary of what my character knows, I'd love to jump in.

Raiko said he would provide full background info to new players taking over existing characters.

I've played all of those games, but it's been years. I haven't had enough free time to play games much in quite a while. I'd like to play them again sometime. I played Wasteland so many times on my old Apple IIc while I was in high school, but it was always in monochrome because I never had a color monitor for it. I found a site a while back with the Apple II version of Wasteland that I could play in color on an emulator I have on my PC if I get the chance.

Right now I'm playing Fatal Frame on the PS2. Well, not right now, but I am partway through the game. I saw all three Fatal Frame games for sale used in GameStop for $40 each, but I wasn't going to shell out that much. I waited, and the price eventually dropped to $30 and then $20, when I snatched up the first two (and got a 10% discount with my card as well). The third was already gone by then, but I'll probably see it for sale again before I finish the first two.

Never played wasteland; when it was being sell, my poor computer couldn't run it. Never saw fatal frame being sell (well, maybe one day they appear in BGamer for 5 euros the 3  , so no point in buying them)
