[Mr. Handy]

Patrick whispers to the others what he overheard. "They've got one of the professors with them to lead them to what they think is going to be a lot of treasure," he continues. "We'll have to be careful that this doesn't turn into a hostage situation. I think maybe the professor is trying to trick them into going into the room where we found that thing. If so, we should see if it works." He looks around to see if the area is familiar while he continues to eavesdrop. He wants to see if they're near that temple.

[kabukiman]

-Let's follow them. It will be interresting.

After some time, you see the temple. The men enter as quickly as possible inside with the the professor.
OOC. Do you follow near the temple, or keep at a secure distance (more than 200 m)?

[Mr. Handy]

"What do you think?" Patrick asks Vance. "Should we get in closer?"

[kabukiman]

-Yes, we could try to ambush them as soon as they leave the temple. We will have the effect of surprise on our side.

[Mr. Handy]

"All right, let's go," says Patrick. He advances with the others up to the temple, taking up a position leaning against the wall to one side of the main entrance with his gun ready. He tries to hear whatever might be going on inside the temple from where he stands, but he can't hear much.

Actually Patrick, Vance and the others hear very well, as soon as they get near rhe temple. First screams and then shots (and more screams). Then, you see Mathieu running very pale, followed by 3 soldiers leaving the place in panic, two of them without the weapons (and still screams and shots inside until it stops). One of the soldiers is missing.

[Mr. Handy]

Patrick points his Glock at the thug who still has his gun and motions for the others with him to do the same. Once they have him covered, he calls out: "Drop your weapon and freeze!"

Your companions obey, but the mercenaries continue running and screaming without paying you attention. Only Mathieu looks at you and gets a relief face.
-Your here? So it means everything is ok in camp then! All we have to do is free the others, those soldiers had lock them in a palace near here. I never thought that my plan would work so well.

[Mr. Handy]

"I had a feeling that's what you were up to when I saw you heading inside," says Patrick. "The camp is still in enemy hands. Four of these goons stayed behind to guard it. We were going to ambush these four, then take their uniforms to fool the rest of them. Let's go rescue the others from that palace, and then we can decide what to do next."

-Alright, just follow me.
After some minutes you arrive at one palace. There are familiar voices, you unlock the door, and see your companions who are happy to see you. Then one of the soldiers appears and when he sees yo, he surrender.

[Mr. Handy]

"Well, we've got this perfectly good palace here," says Patrick. "it would be a shame not to use it. We can lock this guy up inside, but first we should question him. Vance, you should search him. Make sure he has no concealed weapons and see what else you might find on him that's useful."

You find a Dai Lung Streetmaster (medium pistol), a Arasaka Minimani 10 (medium machine gun), a knife, 2 grenades, protective googles, a medium armour jacket, no radio in his helmet (probably have a cyberlink). He doesn't have any ID, or any personnel objects. And he is still afraid, even relieved to be with other people.

"This is some nice gear," says Patrick. "Vance, I'm sure you can use a lot of this stuff." He turns to the prisoner. "Now, we've got some questions for you. You can either talk to me, or you can talk to Vance. Vance is a great guy, don't get me wrong, but he won't be anywhere near as gentle as I am. First of all, who do you work for and why are you here?"

-I actually don't know. I answered an advertise, there was a fixer who made all the deal. We had to bring our own gear. But the chief of the group in camp heard some rumors, that it was a big company.

[Mr. Handy]

"Well, who was the fixer, then?" asks Patrick. "And you must know what the job entailed, what you were sent here to do."

[kabukiman]

-He just presented him as Marv. It was suppose to be a easy job. We were to arrest some bunch of professors, get all the stuff they discovered and go away. No risks, no problems. Nobody talked about... Jesus, what was that thing in that old building? And what city is this? Where is everybody?
The soldier starts to be nervous.

[Mr. Handy]

"I don't know what that thing is," says Patrick. "I saw it myself. When we left the room it was in, it either couldn't or wouldn't follow us, so we just left it alone. We've only recently started exploring ourselves, so we probably don't know much more than you do at this point. What does this 'Marv' look like? Also, what's your name, and what are the names of the other guys on your team? What are they equipped with?"

-The equipment is similar to mine. I don't know them, we use all codes: my is eagle eye. And the fixer is a white guy, blond, about 30's. But he didn't look or speak as a fixer, he seemed more a corporate.

[Mr. Handy]

"Well, you must know your own name," says Patrick. "What's that? And I'll need the code names and descriptions of the rest of your team."

[kabukiman]

-The name is Jason. In my team there were crocodile teeth a guy with accent from the south, Lion heart an older guy and shark skin; this one started to shoot to the thing and was still there when I run away. I didn't bother with the names of the rest of the group. Say, as soon as I answer your question, could you free me? I don't want to be in jail, I have a clean record.
