Turn 5 Investigator Phase

A madman comes out of the infirmary and rushes Mark. Mark kicks him in the groin, unable to punch with his arms in a straitjacket, but the man doesn't even seem to feel it. He lunges for Mark and tries to bite his ear off, but Mark quickly headbutts him and lays him out cold. Shuddering, he hurries down the stairs.
OOC,I'll just have to fight him then, and you can heal my horror later. Next turn I'll have to get rid of the Straitjacket and then play my Shotgun if I don't get ambushed again, so it'll be at least two turns before I can go monster hunting - unless you're allowed to spend two of your actions this turn to remove my Straitjacket, which you should be able to do now that we're in the same location. Action 1: Fight Mad Patient(Combat 5 vs. 2):
1: +1 2: +1 3: 0 4: 0 5: 0 6: -1 7: -1 8: -1 9: -2 10: -2 11: -2 12: skull 13: skull 14: cultist 15: cultist 16: tentacles 17: elder sign
[dice]0[/dice] -1, success! Take 1 horror. Mad Patient takes 1 damage. Action 2: Fight Mad Patient (Combat 5 vs. 2): [dice]1[/dice] skull, -1, success! Take 1 horror. Mad Patient takes 1 damage and is defeated. Action 3: Move to Basement Hall.

It seems reasonable that Withers can remove Harrigan's straitjacket.

Action 1 and 2: Discard Image

Action 3: Play Image choose Harrigan

There's one hell of a kerfuffle above, then Harrigan appears at the foot of the basement's steps still wearing the straitjacket.

"You're no Houdini," says a relieved Withers. "I thought I'd freed you from that thing. Here, allow me."

He takes time to carefully unbuckle the straitjacket. He catches sight of a wild glint in Harrigan's eyes, placing his thumbs on Harrigan's temple he looks steadily at him.

"It's alright, you're gonna be alright."

"Thank you," says Mark, exhaling with relief. "It's not so easy to get out of a straitjacket when a maniac's attacking you. Not so easy to fight him, either, but I managed. I wonder which of these cells they've got him in? We may have to resort to the time-honored method of 'Eeny-Meeny-Miney-Moe.'"

"I knew it was you, sir, I mean, doctor," says Withers. "You're most welcome!"

Turn 6 Mythos Phase

The orderlies came down the stairs and picked up the discarded straitjacket, which they then forced onto Mark. "Better watch this one, Doc," said one of them to Norman. "He's a dangerous one. He just beat up another guy at the top of the stairs. Good thing you're putting him in confinement down here." With that, the orderlies tramped back upstairs.
OOC,Seriously?! I just got that thing off! At least I hadn't played my Shotgun yet. I think you should go first. If you can take it off again, I'll be able to ready my shotgun and start poking around.

Withers nods to the orderly "Much obliged, sir, can't be too careful" and, as they tramp back upstairs "Now get in that cell, you hoodlum!" He grins at Harrigan, unbuckling the straitjacket again.

Turn 7 Mythos Phase

"Could be the same one," says Mark. "I didn't actually kill the guy, just knocked him out."
OOC,Do you want to go first? That way you can explore a new cell. I don't have any clues and can't get any down here. If the monster had spawned in the Basement Halls with us, I could have killed it and gotten one that way. It's in the Eastern Patient Halls, so we'll have to deal with it on our way out of here, but that can wait.

Sure. I'll probably post tomorrow. What's inside the cells? If we don't find Daniel, it'll be a nasty one, for sure.

OOC,That's why I have a shotgun. If you open a cell, I think I can go in it without spending a clue of my own if you run into something nasty. The occupied cell I entered didn't spawn a monster.

Note Image that means we don't need to spend a clue?

Also, a turn back I overspent actions, moving to the Basement Hall and forgetting the other Asylum Hall, so Withers has only one action left... Still to reveal Act 2b.

OOC,Nice! 8-) That's right, we don't have to spend any additional clues to advance the Act beyond the one needed to open the door to the cell. Finding Daniel is all we need to do to advance. Let's reveal it, and then you can take your last action.

Image er, if Withers comes out of the cell with Daniel, Harrigan can take charge of him in the Basement. Good idea?

Action 3: Move to Basement

"Come on, son" says Harrigan, walking Daniel Chesterfield out of his cell with his arm round his shoulder " 'Nigel' you say--hm, don't you worry, we'll get him."

Image "Release a dangerous patient"--that was the cell Harrigan went into.

Turn 7 Investigator Phase

Seeing that they need to escape, Mark ducks back into the other cell and snaps the bound patient's bonds. He howls like a wolf and flees the cell, which should provide an excellent distraction.
OOC,I can take control of Daniel for now, provided that doesn't keep me from playing an Ally of my own. If it does, I'll have to give him back to you later. Yeah, I'll go take care of that right now. It's also possible to start a fight among patients in the Yard, once the clues are all taken. There's one left there, but the Shroud is low enough that even I can probably find it. Action 1: Move to Patient Confinement - Occupied Cell. Action 2: Activate Gift of Madness (Misery). Randomly choose 1 enemy from among the set-aside Monster enemies and place it beneath the act deck without looking at it. Discard Gift of Madness (Misery) from my hand. Action 3: Activate Patient Confinement - Occupied Cell.
