Ogtuk0luk, knowing the fate of the Shaman and possibly his people, was vigilant as ever.

[DSIGFUSS]

Ogtuk-luk spots the arctic Fox Kadzit hiding under the flap of an adjacent hut. Ogtuk-luk would never have spotted him if it weren't for the light shining from the Shaman's Hut behind him. All of the hutts in the Dorset village were dark. The Shaman Hutt's fire reflected playfully off the Ijiraat's bright red eyes.

The Ijirrat Fox slowly comes out from under the flap and begins to approach Ogtuk-luk once again.

He stops at the entrance to the Shaman's Hutt and looks up at Ogtuk-luk.

ooc- Unulaq.. I assumed you followed Thorrin. Thorrin burst into the Elders hutt to investigate the Viking voice. Please post in the Hunt for Kalituk thread.

Just as Kadzit re-enters the Shaman's hut, Ogtuk-luk looks back to see Yuralria's physical form fade away into nothingness. Her spear at her side vanishes as well.

"No! No! Yuralria!" Ogtuk Luk exclaims. " Kadzit, what happened to her? Where is she?!"

[ryansommer]

[OOC: Sorry, man. I must have missed that post!]

[DSIGFUSS]

Kadzit eyes widen in surprise.

Goodness! No protector... your charge is not dead. The tether that binds her to her corporal form would have been severed, leaving her a broken shell of a woman.

Kadzit tilts his head slightly.... pondering.

Unless her soul was destroyed. I have never heard of such thing Ogtuk-luk. Of course, the Ijiraat were banished from the spirit world long ago. My people have not practiced the spirit walk in thousands of moons.

"But you can do it, right?" Ogtuk-luk asks. "You haven't practiced the spirit walk, but can you still walk there?"

[DSIGFUSS]

No.. That is my point young one. My people cannot walk with the spirits any longer. Your answers willnot come from me Protector... and for that I am sorry!

Kadzit sniffs the spot where the Shaman once lay.

She is gone. There is no trace of her fresher than a few hours. What will you do?

[ryansommer]

Ogtuk-Luk colapses in despair: "I have failed! Of the one task given to me, I have failed."

[DSIGFUSS]

Kadzit frowns and sits quietly next to Ogtuk-luk. He lowers his head and Ogtuk-luk can feel the sadness the arctic fox is feeling for the Shaman and his protector.

I lost my Shaman as well child of the forzen rain. I will see you through this... I promise you!


ooc- Nice drama man. I award skill points for such things...

"What worth do I have, Kadzit?" Ogtuk-luk asks sorrowfully. "Protector is my duty. My name. I have failed Yularia. I have failed by people." Head down, Ogtuk-luk weeps.

[DSIGFUSS]

Kadzit lies sullenly next to the fire as Ogtuk-Luk mourns the loss of his charge.
