You see in the corridor that someone is running and closing a door.

Percy grabs Peters sleeve.

"Who the devil do you think that could be?"

"I say you!" he shouts loudly after the fleeing man. "Can you just stop there a moment?!"

Nobody answers...

"Oh gosh darnit" says Percy. "I suppose we better chase the varmint!"

he sets off in pursuit

"Dang it Percy, Wait Up!" Peter began to jog behind Percy.

The person have entered a a room (room 35).

Percy stops just outside the door.

"Oh dear Peter" he says. "I fear this could be dangerous. Perhaps one of us should go fetch Mr Bruno. It seems he is more accustomed to this sort of situation."

Peter says, "I am good at talking to people. You go get Bruno I will try to talk him down."

Percy wavers and dithers, totally out of his depth here. eventually he runs back down the corridor.

"Mr Bruno! Mr Bruno!" he shouts. "We may have found one of your villains!"

Bruno steps out of the room and looks to the men in the hallway. "What is going on? Where is this villian?"

"this way, this way!" shouts Percy, leading Bruno back down the corridor. "The reverand has him cornered in one of the rooms!"

"Cornered?" Asks Bruno. "What makes you think this fellow is one of our villians?"

"I've no Idea.." says Percy. "..but you're not the only one allowed to make wild assumptions.. this way!"

"Wait a second? Does this fellow match the description or not? Maybe he's just one of the reverend's flock playing hide the sausage with a local girl that's not his wife."

"I don't know, lets see!"

Percy catches up with Peter.

"Is he still inside?" he asks.

Bruno looks to both men, "What makes you think this fellow is one of them? Did you see what he looks like or not? What if the fellow is a bankrobber with a tommy gun, we burst in and he can mow the three of us down."

He is inside. go get him. I will guard out here.

Percy hesitates.

"I don't know...if he is dangerous perhaps we better leave things alone. I didnt get a look at him Mr Bruno, just thought he might be one of the varmints you were after thats all.."

Bruno considers this a bit. "Maybe if this is one of them, the police should be involved?" He looks at the door to figure out how thick it is. Given the sad condition of the hotel, perhaps he can smash the door down and storm in.

Or he could try to knock.

OC- What is the condition of the door?

OOC: The door is ok, but the lock is in very bad shape. With some violence you make destroy it (and explain latter to the manager!). You will have to make a str roll against.

Bruno decides not to risk a more violent approach. He knocks on the door.

-W-W-who is it?- Asks a male voice.

"Messenger. But I am instructed to give the message personally and in private."

-Message? From whom?

Peter whispers, "Tell him from hell and his master the devil."

OOC: Mr Zombie killer, please make the idea roll I asked before.

Bruno ignores Peter's suggestion.

"I am sorry sir, but I have been told to deliver this message personally to you and that it is a matter of paramount importance. Indeed sir, I have been told that I will need to see your identification before the message is to be delivered. I am sorry to intrude, but, again, it is of the utmost importance that I deliver you the message personally."

-O-ok.
You hear the sound of a door opening and then a small guy, with glasses asks:
-From who is the message?

Peter grabbed Bruno aside and said, "Dude, I have an idea.

(OCC-Sorry I do not read this game often as I am very busy so I missed the idea roll suggestion eairler)

OCC- does the man with glasses fit the description of our villians.

IC- Bruno quietly pushes Peter away from the door and says to the man with glasses, "Sir, can you give me your name please and can I see your identification? I have been asked to cooperate with authorities and the hotel staff is cooperating. However this is a matter of grave concern."

OOC: No, he doesn't seem one of the villains. He is an ordinary man. And I don't know what kind of identification you had in 1927. Not everyone had a drive license or a passaport, and I think the ID cart was invented latter.

-Identification? What do you mean? Everyone knows me, I'm Paulie. I have some mail in my name, you can confirm it.

Bruno nods. "I am sorry, but I must insist on identification. I can wait while you get it."

As soon as the man leaves, Bruno looks to Peter and whispers, "Go down to the manager's office. Remind them that we are here on police business. Find out who this room is rented to. If he gives you trouble, remind him of the detective with Alyssa and tell him that you are asking on his behalf. Also see if he has a record of when those three guys from Innsmouth rented the room. Please be quick."

Peter suddenly remembers that his father had told him he had an uncle who had been a reverend in Innsmouth and died there, but before that, he had sent him a diary.

Peter tells Bruno this info and then walks down the hall again.

OOC: Going to the manager, to confirm Paulie identity.

(Occ- Let me know when I get there then. I will try to play here more.)

OOC: You may get now.

The manager is still reading something, and doesn't look at you.

"Hey buddy. Listen up i have a question for you!"

Still reading:
-Yeah?

"Hey you bum. I am a man of the cloth and you will respect me for who I am since I am your superior. So put the paper down now and listen up"

He seems anoyed but agrees.
-Ok, what do you want... sir?
