IC-OVER-Reunion(Flynn/Kathryn/Jack/Emily/Lauren/Kyle)

"Alvarez said Emily and Lauren couldn't talk on the radio because all of them 'might' be dealing with a zombie. He didn't mention anything about a coupla farmers and you haven't answered my questions yet, Harry," Jack says archly.

[kabukiman]

-Perkins and Kyle. And of course that in a farm they are armed. I don't know if they have a radio, but what are you afraid? That I'm lying and that Alvarez is trying something against the girls? After losing all that blood? If we wanted to trick you, all we have to do was to go away, leave you with Kath and turn off the radio. And we had the guns remember? They could't do anything against us- Flynn is is becoming to get angry with Jack suspicions.

[John Gaunt]

"Calm down, Harry. What I'm afraid of is that my girls are being held captive. What I take issue with is not being kept in the loop. I've been talking with Alvarez on and off and not once did he mention being in the company of armed farmers nor did he mention that you were on your way to get us. A little odd, don't you think, Harry? Maybe even suspicious?"

Jack removes the pistol from his waistband, taking care to keep it pointed at the ground.

"I've already dealt with one hostage situation today. It doesn't seem unbelievable that I could be dealing with another..."

[kabukiman]

-Ok, forget the things, let's go now.

[John Gaunt]

OOC: I've made two successful die rolls so far, gonna wait until Mr. Handy indicates what they net before I make my next move.

[kabukiman]

[Mr. Handy]

(Thanks for waiting. Lauren did post a reply in the other thread this morning, but I couldn't post until tonight.)

At the farmhouse-
Jack heard Lauren's voice on the radio: "Daddy are you ok? We need help there is one of those people outside the door." There was nobody in the RV besides Flynn, and as far as Jack could tell he wasn't holding anything back.

[John Gaunt]

Jack holds up a finger to Flynn to indicate one moment and points to his headset.

"Honey, what's going on? Remain calm. What is everybody doing? If you're armed and barricaded, you should be OK. We'll be there as soon as possible!"

"It's my daughter, she sounds worried, they may be under attack. Kathryn, turn the horses loose please, we're leaving! Harry, gimmee a hand with Gardner's things. He's in the garage. Let me see if I can open the garage door from inside."

Mollified by the sound of his daughter's voice, Jack turns toward the house and breaks out any remaining shards of glass in the blasted out window before stepping through.

[Mr. Handy]

At the farmhouse-
As Jack started back to the house, he heard Lauren reply on the radio: "Hold on dad." After a pause she spoke again. "God dad we need help."

[John Gaunt]

Jack halts in midstep and whirls toward the RV. "Change of plans! We're leaving now!" Running toward the RV: "Harry, are the keys in the ignition?! It sounds like they're in danger!"

Into his helmet mike: "Lauren. Keep talkin' to me sweety. Describe to me what's happening."

Jack tries to gauge Lauren's mental and emotional state but again, his concentration is interrupted by a loud squelch of static. Is her distress real or is she being coerced?

Flynn starts the engine, and as soon everybody is in the VR, Flynn will goes to the other farm.
- Everyone have some weapon? We may have trouble but I don't know who are the enemy right now.
Flynn is praying that the enemy will be only zombies, he isn't interested to kill living people.

[Mr. Handy]

At the farmhouse-
Lauren spoke to her father again: "We found these people who took us in but this guy's mom got bit or something and now I think she is one of those things that tried to get us. What do we do dad?"

[John Gaunt]

Jack takes a seat on the passenger side and speaks decisively into his headset: "Lauren, keep away from the infected! Where are you in the house? You, your mother, Alvarez, barricade yourself somewhere or run away. Shit-" Jack says as he realizes the impossibility of what he just said in regards to the amputee guardsman.

"OK. scratch that, I know Julio can't run but he's the best with a gun. Play keep away and aim for the head. They're slow and dumb. Use that to your advantage. We're on our way."

Turning to Flynn, he says resolutely "Punch it, Harry! I've still got your pistol and a grenade."

With that, Jack chambers a round and switches out the partial magazine with a full one.

[Dave Syrinx]

Kat listens to Jack´s convo with his daughter. Meanwhile she gets over to the passenger´s side of the RV and enters. "Got something that beats a crowbar?" "Let´s move already!"

[Mr. Handy]

(The pistol Jack has belongs to Alvarez. Flynn still has his own pistol.)

On the road-
Once everyone was aboard, Flynn sped off to the west, toward the other farm.

(Everyone may talk freely now. I'll let you know when you get there.)

"Harry, what's the layout of this farmhouse? It would seem that the farmers' wife/mother has been infected. What sort of armament were they sporting?" Turning toward Kathryn: "Kat, when we get there, we'll need you to take the wheel and keep the engine runnin'. You OK with that?"

[kabukiman]

-Tell them to run in our direction, the zombies will atack the members of the house first if they stay there.

[Dave Syrinx]

"I´m your wheel man, no problem!"

[kabukiman]

-Here we go!
Flynn drives the VR as fast as he can.
-Just now that everything seemed ok! I shouldn't have leaved there, it was to good to be true!

Kat turns to Jack, "Hey, Jack! Thank´s for finishing that a-hole off. I don´t know if I liked him better as a beast. Then I could understand his motivation. Let´s get your gals out of harms way and over to the Warren later!"
